  1. Not airtight, but I use the k9 pro food sacks, they look small but amazingly fit a bag of BH
  2. I will also donate for some food, I can spare $10 I hope things get better for this person soon :)
  3. I think this is bits of the kibble made for export, there is certain regulations regarding shape and colour for export... Or something to that effect
  4. If you can't afford to take your dog to the vet when its not well, then you can't afford a dog full stop MTS I asked you a question on another forum that you seemed to miss...your older GR boy, what is his name? because here you call him Buddy, yet on the other forum you call him Einstein....and on another forum again you call him buddy...very confusing
  5. I think there should be a forum specifically for this, most members like to test their skills at picking breeds in a mutt, but for those who don't want to see it, then they can just not go into that forum
  6. Thanks I'll pass that on Still after recommendations if anyone knows anyone else
  7. My mums Cav boy has always been a 'yelpie' dog, if he is picked up the wrong way (as in not totally supported) he would yelp, so mum took him to the local vet who did some x-rays, he said he is fine but put him on some calcium supplements anyway...this was at 6 months of age when he got desexed He is now 3-4 years old and he still yelps quite a bit, so my mum is wanting to get him looked at by someone other than the local vet, but I don't know of any holistic vets in the area, its only 3 hours to canberra so she would probably be willing to go that far, she is convinced there is a problem with him and she doesn't want him suffering Sooo....any suggestions?
  8. Jane is excellent, and she goes to that area, she is the most recommended behaviorist in the area on dol, she comes highly recommended and rightly so :)
  9. Soooo...I found a tupperware box filled with BH...and no way of knowing if it was puppy or adult food Whoops lol
  10. It needs to be sterile, go to your local pathology collection centre and ask them for a stool jar, theyre white with a handy scoop in the lid
  11. No worries, no need to pay it will only be a couple of dollars lol, the magazine was free so it really is fine
  12. Our Cattle dog came from the RSPCA with the name Grease....we soon changed it to Jackson and within a week and without even trying to train it, he was answering to it
  13. He's a JRT, they're tough nuts lol, they don't sook for no reason Just make sure it stays clean, if it looks like its getting infected (hot, pussy, inflamed, bad smell) then off to the vets BTW, I posted in the JRT forum for you, remember someone said Maui was Petstock photo of the month? I was given a copy of that magazine yesterday, let me know if you want me to send it to you
  14. Thanks, sorry for your losses Nek This friend of a friend was apparently looking on the dogz breeder page, so thats a good sign, I gave him a link to this forum to give her too and told him she should join as there is so much advice out there, so hopefully she does :)
  15. I think that delivery arrangement sounds fair Wendy, my distributer also lives an hour from Brisbane southside and charges $5 delivery, she does do regular trips in so I usually only need a few days notice to get my order, but I still order my food before I'm close to running out just in case she is unable to deliver
  16. Yes thats the blog I was thinking of, I didn't realise he had been PTS...so sad but at least the message is still getting out there
  17. Also if anyone can offer some good advice on buying interstate, I know a lot have done it, but this person has specifically said Brisbane, so it will be good to show that it can work that way if you work with your chosen breeder
  18. I've had a friend ask about getting a golden pup for his friend in Brisbane, I want some sort of blog that tells the story of the horrors of BYBing, I'm not sure if thats the route they're looking at, but if it is, now is the time to educate them and steer them in the right direction I know someone (was it Nekhbet?) has a dog who was rescued and she was writing a blog of his journey, I know he suffered severe HD and had a lot of other problems...
  19. Standard poodle.... Now to convince OH that they're intelligent dogs who CAN also be manly
