What Do You Use To Walk Your Dog And Why?
Brennan's Mum replied to aussielover's topic in General Dog Discussion
Brennan is on a flat collar and a leash. I am looking at getting her a front clipping harness and just leaving the collar for her i.d tags when walking. I agree with TerraNik-- I HATE retractable leads. -
Great news

I think it sounds like the other woman over-reacted.

Large Dogs And Small Dogs Living Together?
Brennan's Mum replied to ash&elar's topic in General Dog Discussion
Brennan my GSD has been raised in the house with my house mate's Dachshund x dog. Jack ( Dachshund x) is 2 months older then Brennan. When we visit my Mum she is with an 8 year old Maltese x Shih Tzu. Supervision is the key. Cleo the Maltese x is a bit less active then the young Jack so she has less tolerance for energetic Brennan. Also their is a risk associated with Dachshunds and their long backs..so we have to watch her behaviour with Jack. The dogs are quite happy to communicate within themselves when they get out of line. I also will sit and watch the dogs play together and click and treat Brennan for nice behaviour. -
;) I agree-- it's so easy to understand and 'Chalcy's tips' are extra helpful

Ooh very exciting time. My girl is 15months now. I don't think I would change anything that I did or did not do. The last year has been the best year of my life, I have learnt so much.

New Puppy With Young Child? Am I Asking For Trouble?
Brennan's Mum replied to vernie's topic in General Dog Discussion
I think if you have the time to devote to raising the puppy and your child you should be fine. I would assume that you already know to keep an eye on both dog and baby and not to leave them together unsupervised. I agree with the other suggestions about crate training. However if you have the time and energy I think you would be fine :D . Just make sure you come back with photo's when you get your pup  -
What a lovely puppy. I think that she will be just fine provided she get's a wonderful new home. Here in Australia we have Myron Wood who is making a name for himself despite being a blind dog

Just thought I would share this page. I believe there is some where that you can sign a petition in support of them. They are lawyers in Brisbane who are campaigning against the fact that animal abusers often get away with a small punishment in comparison to the crime committed. http://www.bleats.com.au/Home
-
Absolutely Despicable I am literally sick of seeing all these cases where some one abuses an animal and walks away with a slap on the wrist. It really is a sad view on our society when lawmakers allow these people responsible for horrible cruelty to walk away with little punishment.

Ohh I love the Star Wars one . They just got my day off to a great start Thanks for sharing

Wow, what a transformation, she is lovely

I am so sorry for everyone's losses on this drug. I have heard too many negative things about this drug that I highly doubt I would allow vet's to use it on my dog.
