  1. They live in our hearts, Baifra. Sleep well, Rusty, sounds like you were well loved.
  2. Donatella, how was your dog when you had the little foster dog recently. Did that help at all, or was it just the same?
  3. 2009 - Marlie, Beagle x Kelpie, given her wings at 16 years due to age related issues. She stopped eating and her back legs gave out. It was time. Best dog ever. x
  4. I'm so sorry to read this. Tess knew you were there with her and she went out with love. It's so hard but thank you for being there for her again as you were 10 years ago when she needed you. You will have some lovely memories of her to comfort you.
  5. Isn't it funny how they don't like to go outside to toilet in the rain, but will very happily play and romp through the mud and water? Can't work that one out with dogs! They are all lovely pups, T.
  6. KKDD, when they go, great dogs live in our hearts. Sleep well, sweet little man.
  7. I'm so sorry, Caz. You did a beautiful thing for Tammy, giving her the best time of her life. She will certainly be waiting for you at the Bridge. Hugs.
  8. "Where love is, time just doesn't mean a thing." They stay forever in our hearts, however short a time we have them in our homes. She will be waiting for you, Jane.
  9. Good to see you using your expertise with rescue again, Sue. Hope you get the best foster carers around! Beautiful picture on facebook of Junie.
  10. What a great picture. I always admire Maverick's stunning looks. He is a magnificient dog and looks so good with the little Westie.
  11. Steve, have sent you an email re. donations.
  12. Thanks for caring and doing all you could for Lucky. At least he knew a bit of love and comfort for a short time. Why don't people look after their animals?
  13. My Stella is my little shadow so it's always "Stel and me". I always wondered about yours Ams.......good one!
  14. Oh Rach, there goes another piece of your heart! Seriously, she is beautiful and I am so pleased you have another little one to share your home. She is a lucky little dog to end up at your place. Looking forward to seeing the photos as she grows.
  15. So impressed with all of you Agility people and your beautiful, well-trained dogs! I'm a local and went out to watch my daughter (who lives away) compete. It was wonderful to see the rapport between the owners and dogs who were all having the best time. Sorry we couldn't put on some nicer weather but at least you had the great facilities. Well done to all.
  16. MC, please contact Aspect (Autism Spectrum Australia). They have a telephone number for information about autism children. I would have your son formally diagnosed first before you make any decisions about future pets. I have worked with children with Autism and ADD and I would recommend going in a different direction. Instead of getting an active pet, I would consider one to "calm" the child, perhaps along the lines of a CKCS. There is no doubt that Autism or any child on the spectrum benefits from the presence of a pet, but please choose wisely and perhaps wait just a little. Do your homework very well first and it can be beneficial. Please ask for advice from the relevant support groups. Good luck!
  17. Cosmolo, any idea if that will be on in NSW?
  18. They take a piece of our hearts with them. So sorry, Rach, I am sure she was the luckiest dog to have such a loving home at your place. Look after yourself.
  19. She lives on in your heart, P.S. and what a kind thing to do to donate the collars and leads to help others in her memory. It is so hard to do the final act of kindness, hope the sadness gets a little easier as the days go on.
  20. Beautiful dogs....I wish everyone knew what great pets they can be.
  21. We were selling goods to help rescue and one of the volunteers wrote in the sales book that she had sold "2 dog bowels". (bowls) I really didn't want to think too much about that.........
  22. I agree with Gillybob that the chances of finding the person would be pretty slim - Tamworth is a city and the surrounding areas are vast, this fellow could be anywhere and unfortunately this sort of thing is not unusual at all in the country. Leelaa 17 - the local paper is not called the "Central" although that is one of the hotels!
