  1. Thanks to everyone from me too. Its been a great year for rescues working together to help save more dogs. Hopefully this can continue.
  2. Do you happen to know if their names are Bertie and Oscar? We just sent out a poster for two Beagles
  3. We just got a dog wanted request for a beagle. I'll put them on to Adam.
  4. I have one of the runs by Lancefield All Pet Enclosures from Ebay. Really happy with it. I was able to put it together myself and it is easy to take apart if you want to move it or makee it bigger or smaller. The only issue was the postage time but if you can pick up that would be fine.
  5. Bought a chook and the dog doesn't like it. I'm giving up the dog since the chook gives me eggs and the dog doesn't!!
  6. Yep, I think pretty much every pound is full so there is usually a lot going on behind the scenes that doesn't get on DOL. Adoptions sometimes slow down as well, boarding kennels are full, carers go away and meanwhile dogs come in at an amazing rate. All round bad time, most of us are just trying to keep our heads above water and run out of time for DOL.
  7. Hi Em, You can flick me an email at [email protected] with her details and we can chat about poster and other options. Cheers Dallas
  8. Of course I don't mind! All the dogs in the videos in the link I've sent you have found new homes or had applications for them. Kimba had an application within a day of the video going up and Ellie May within the hour  People want to know/see as much as possible about the dogs so the videos help. It's always easier doing it for my own fosters though because I can make sure we have good photos and video and we also teach all of our fosters some tricks that make the video a bit more entertaining. It's always hard for me to do much when the dog is untrained and all of the video is just the dog sniffing the ground :p Hey KTB, I love your videos and agree that they are great for selling the dogs. Just wondering how you get around the copyright aspect of the music you use?
  9. Yeah, I've sent myself a few test emails for my dogs and haven't received them. Not sure what to do really. It almost worse not getting back to someone that not having the dog listed.
  10. Yep, what Baifra said. I also have a pig in mud door and it is fantastic. I foster dogs and they all learn how to use it in the first day. Easy to move into the screen dOor for summer. I just put a floor bolt at the back of my door for extra security. But if someone was in my backyard with all my dogs they are going to come in anyway I reckon.
  11. If she has just had dinner it may well be that she isn't as food motivated as other times?
  12. One of our carers was saying the other day that there are air based collars as well that just give a blast of air. That might work? I used the citronella collar on my first dog and it worked within a few days, I never had to put it back on. But I also blocked off the corner of the fence that she was barking at. Just that 1m square meant she couldn't get to the fence and gave up.
  13. I call this one 'Heading for the Light'. This is my old Rotty Sharon not long after she survived bloat and only a month or two short of her passing away from kidney failure. Taken on the iphone.
  14. I use the Nina Ottoson toys for mine and though they are pretty expensive they haven't broken yet.
  15. Is he doing any stretching, like more than normal?
  16. Woden Weston Animal Hospital in HOlder are good, they have looked after all my guys. Open on weekends. 6288 4777
  17. It depends on each dog and how it is going. I couldn't say there is a 'time frame' as each dog is different. Some dogs I separate the entire time they are in care, others probably minimum a few days of supervision.
  18. Ohhh, so tiny to be missing. Maree can you please email me the poster so I can JPEG it for facebook.
  19. Good on you Ams, a great choice of breed too. A Mastiff is also on my bucket list to own one day.
