Oh I so need Jdavis's piccie, buckle up folks this is gonna get nasty, but hey it seems to have already. Ok the day in question was not an official ANKC event, deal with it get over it. It all boils down to the fact that on that particular day the person running the clinic felt confident in the dog in questions ability to herd the sheep and not harm them, am I correct here. All I am seeing here is a bunch of working/herding breeders/owners who are I would say a bit miffed that a non working/herding breed is out there having a go at a what appears to be a fun clean healthy dog sport. Geez louise people's get over it, she has said she doesnt want to trial so therefore no ANKC issue, sheesh go find someone who doesnt look afte their dog and doesnt exercise it and have a bitch at them. I am so fed up with the attitudes on DOL most times its no wonder I make STD phone calls in the day if I have a question rather then ask on here, shit most people get eaten bloody alive. I thought the tail docking thread was bad but this is bloody stupid, stop being so god damn stuck up and snobby in your group and encourage people to do good things with their dogs. I use the sand paper ones. Mine has a cord but you can run it off batteries. I know heaps of people with this one and they all love it. Mel from Imoen came over and used hers on my guys once I saw how good it was I went and got one, I have 2 with all black nails and 2 dogs who hated having nails clipped and now they just sit there and let it be "dremeled" away

At the moment I am feeding Natures gift to one of my dogs as he has been very fussy with food and loves this. I think you are being a bit harsh to comment that all tinned food is evil. And Riley honey you were near by when Moss pooped it wasnt that bad, no worse then his normal diet of mince, vegies, pasta and a small amount of dry food

Just bumping this to add my praises of Natures gift, my older boy Moss has been a bit funny with what he will eat since Chelsea has been in season (she is out now), and I bought a tin of natures gift last night and he loved it, I gave some to the pups also and they thought it was great. What I loved is it didnt affect their poos in any yucky way. Thumbs up natures gift, it is now my take away and emergancy food and Moss will get it as long as he is still scoffing it. Jacq

Well apart from a small amount of dry food I feed now I am a barf feeder also, hmm, just about to run out of adult food, might just go totally barf and see how we go, mine love their vegies and fruit any way, and I just stocked up on mince from my fabulous butcher who does a great meat mix for me, (thanks xyro for putting me onto him). I guess I always thought Barf would be hard work and with 3 kids life is hectic enough, but this all sounds relatively easy. Will report back and let you know how we go. Jacq

Testing has been carried out on the can and autopsy's on the dogs. From what i have heard it is definate that the canned food was at fault. Lets just pray that the surviving girl Tia is going to pull through she is 12 years old. Jacq

Hi all some very very sad news this morning This was on another list and is cross posted with permission Sad news by Marilyn Kelly Tuesday night I fed all my Dogs Dry biscuits, bread and Canned food. ( I cant say the make) My Daughter was just released from Hospital so the Canned food was a quick easy fix. Wednesday Morning 4 of my dogs had upset tummies but were still themselves. Wednesday night my 9 month old was not herself and everyone was a little quiet so I consulted my vet and we put them on Buscapan and electrolytes. Thursday morning as usual I got up at 6.00 O'clock to run my dogs. I found 2 Dead 1 almost Dead 1 a little bit wobbly and the rest O.K. from the time I hooked up the float loaded up the car and trailer they were getting worse. My Vet and his Nurses were overwhelmed 2 Died at their Surgery and in a matter of minutes another was going down 4 were left and I drove down to Brisbane to the Vet specialists as my Vet said "he didn't have the resources to deal with something like this. When I arrived they were waiting for me another one was already dead and 1 more had gone down fast its now Friday I'm numb Angry and totally Pissed off with the World. I have Tia ( Ch Cathkin Luvly to lookat) Shim (Mazarelli Lookno Hi R ) left may we all Pray for him and her. The Autopsy has provided us with why this has happened and all I can say because I am taking this Legally further and so are the Vets. Thank you all for your kind thoughts both on the list and private. It is one week today since I lost my boy and I still become a blubbering wreck when I think of him . I keep telling myself he is in a better place but it isnt making it easier. My 2 year old just realised yesterday that he is not here and that got me started all over again. He will live on in our memories and the beautiful rose we are going to buy as a rememberance bush for him it is called the prince. Thank you all again for your support especially Cyndii his breeder without Stormy our lives would have been very lonely, this dog taught me so much and my girls and he also created one of the best friendships I have, my friendship with Cyndii. I use the plush puppy herbal whitening shampoo or Mrs Cosglo's purple shampoo. I love both of them, their whites are very white and it removes any redness from the coat of my tri girl and my sable looks so rich and shiney. They both are great shampoos and dont seem to clog my hydrobath like I was told some do. Another good shampoo i have used is Hossgloss it is a horse shampoo but works really well, but you then need to pay a bit more attention to whites before a show as it does not get them as white as the purple shampoo.
