Thanks for the advice. He gets chicken necks during his meals. He choked on chicken wing twice so I am not going to give him anymore. I am looking for something that he could chew when he is sitting around the living room. Do you guys have any recommendations on what can i buy to let him chew? I bought him a chew toy but he don't like it.

I bought these 2 chewy things from the pet shop(they don't sell pets). The white coloured 1 is skin(the attendant told me) and the green coloured 1 is Greenie. The main purpose of these are to let him chew and clean its teeth. I was wondering if these are good for my puppy?

Oh a ball of energy, will she rival Ava do you think? :D I believe Oreo could rival anyone in energy level. He is almost 18 weeks old now. After he goes for a 30 mins walk, he have to play for about 30mins and train for 15 mins. We do this twice a day. He don't really sleep when my gf and I are up so he will bring his toys and run around on his own. He could be a marathon runner in the future.

Maybe tiring your puppy mentally? You could train him to "sit", "drop" etc. then he will sleep so well. =D My puppy could "sit", "down", "shake" and "in"to his crate on command when he was 10 weeks old.

I am looking at a dog that is about the size of Shetland Sheepdog. I am just afraid that Oreo will be too energetic for it. Nushie - You seem to be going well. Oreo also sleeps through the night from 12am till we wake up. He don't sleep during the day though. He could sleep with us till about 12pm during the weekend. I am approaching my exam period and I need to study so I am thinking of getting a toy which could keep Oreo company. Anyone know any toy that a dog could chase and food will drop out? I was taking a look at Buster Cube and it seems pretty good. We will continue with his 2 x 30 minswalks a day though. ETA: I already got 2 kongs.

I used a pet tent before and it is kind of like a soft crate. My puppy pull the whole thing down. He was sitting at the door when I came back home. He was like look at how smart I am. Congrats!! Right click the picture in your email and "save picture as" then save whereever you want in your computer. After that, go to this website "http://jpeg-optimizer.com/" and compress your image to "70" and resize photo to "640". Lastly, click "reply" in DOL and you should see the bottom right of your reply where there is a "browse" button. Search for the picture then click "upload". Should work! Here is Oreo teething!

Stop play and turn your back on her whenever she bites you. After awhile, they will get it. My puppy took 1 week to learn.

If you really worry about her not eating at all, you could try softening his dry kibbles. Maybe she will eat a bit.

Magstar - I also used a commercial deterrent but it was not useful. Have you tried using spraying Eucalyptus Oil? My puppy hates that smell totally. The dog trainer in puppy school say that most dogs hate that smell. Clastic - OMG! Your house will be chaotic. 1 BC is more than enough for me to handle. My boy is well behaved though. But he needs plenty of exercise to keep him occupied. I am also going to get a friend for Oreo sometime later. Not so fast though so most probably next year. I am going to get other breed of dog though. Maybe a sheltie, japanese spitz or golden retriever.

I got him from a NSW breeder and their prefix is tojess I think. He is lovely but loves to play TOO much! Last Saturday, he played with 2 other puppies until they could not handle him In the end, they bark at him so he would not disturb them .He needs a lot of play and training to keep him occupied or he will find himself some entertainment that I would not like.

Is that a toy or miniature poodle? I wanted to get a toy poodle at first because my girlfriend has 2 toy poodles back in her country which was plain lovely. OH MY GOD! After the desex package incident and raw hide chews being choking hazard. I definitely not going back to that vet again!

When my boy was 6.5kg (my bc is about 9.7kg now), i feed him chicken wings and he has no issues on that. But now, I cannot give him chicken wings any more after he swallow the chicken wing whole the other day. It was scary!! I thought he was going to die. Luckily he managed to vomit it out. We went to the vet and she told us not to give chicken wing at the moment. She advise us to give raw hide chews. And a white-coloured stick which I bought from a pet shop to let him chew. He doesn't chew on our stuff so everything is good.

Just a warning With the spray bottle, my puppy loves to play with it so didn't work for me. My boy is a water baby I try to train my puppy and go for walk therefore making him all tired before I do my own stuff. I find that he settles better this way. Also, I give him raw hide chews and a white-coloured chew thing(not sure what it is but it's recommended by the pet shop). If he chews, he can't bark and he won't look for my stuff to chew on.
