House Sit For 1 Large Dog In Hervey Bay

Thanks, I actually spoke to Nina before I posted because she knows my sisters situation. She can't suggest anyone. Thanks for the suggestion though -
Hi all My sister in Harvey bay in Queensland has terminal cancer. She has a very large wolfhound cross desexed male dog. He is really friendly and has no major behavioural issues. (Except that he steals food if it's left laying around ????). she is going away tomorrow as a final holiday with her teenage son. We thought we had something organised for her dog, but it has fallen through the day before she is meant to leave. As you can imagine, she is stressed out big time about the plans falling through. Can anybody recommend anyone reliable who would house sit for her in Harvey bay. The house is basic but very comfortable, with a/c and foxtel. Easy walk to shops and beach. She will be gone for three weeks. She can't afford to put him in a pet lodge. He loves other dogs but is not suitable with cats and chickens as he thinks they are toys. He's obedient and loving and is great with kids of all ages. Please pm me for any more info. Thanks

Ha Ha - I come across the funniest conversations in DOL. And yet I totally understand this one. I am a foster carer with a rescue group so I have a new dog about every two weeks. It's a great way to get my 'fix' of another dog to love. My list is made up of some dogs I've owned, some I've fostered, and some I'd love to have. 1) Great Dane (absolutley in love with them and seem to often take them as fosters) 2) Greyhound or whippet 3) Golden Retriever (RIP my beautiful Gemma who died at only 2) 4) BMD, mastiff, german shorthaired pointer 5) Newfoundland, irish wolfhound, German Shepherd (like mum's enormous one) 6) anything BIG and sookie.

Wow, I hope you get a bulk discount Do you think she's done now?

This is so much better than daytime television. If you find yourself with pups that you can't manage (once they're weaned of course) don't forget you can always list them on urgent rescue for a rescue group to rehome them. You won't make any money, but you won't lose any sanity either. Paula C.A.R.A.

Oh, I love it!! I have a greyhound cross and she is a little too interested in my cat. My foster dogs seem fine with the cat ... it's just my own that's the problem. I only wish she would take a leaf out of this ones book. Well done in getting them to this point. Paula Companion Animal Rescue and Adoption - Canberra
