  3. use a long lead let your dog have use of it. call his name when he is looking at you say "come" then reel him in to you this way he can not not come. when he gets to you reward and release. Repeat repeat repeat. good luck. i took my puppy to the beach on the weekend she loved it was a little unsure of the water but over all wehad a 90% success rate with recall, the two times she didn't come back was because of a bigger dog she couldn't see me so i went and collected her.
  4. ahh isn't the show ring fro bunny hopping, pulling on the lead, kissing the judges, getting belly rubs and trying to play with the puppy in front??? lol Not once they are in minor apparently. Lol poor lincoln all grown up :D

  8. I believe you can, but not 100% sure. That is very interesting that thats the reason given i always make sure the dog i am handling will let me show its bite, as you never know when a judge is going to ask it those who would come down to a show if they had cases of parvo at home!! I reckon i was talking to one of the organisers yesterday and she told me about showing my own dogs bite which i practice anyway (bit harder when she has just cut three teeth and is mouth sensitive at the moment) but being a baby i am very concerned that someone could be so heartless to risk other peoples dogs and i guess i never realyl thought about the judge touching so many dogs and spreading germs, so would rather if allowed continue to show my own dogs teeth for health reasons
  9. stupid question but are we allowed to say to the judge we will show the bite for protection of our own dogs???
  10. Good luck with your pup. The chicken and rice diet can certainly help get an upset tummy under control and i sure as heck had moments where i told mybreeder my pup was in the post back to her se i very full on lol. She is 16.5 weeks now and will still try the screaming match if she thinks she can win but is learning very well. Keep your chin up it will improve

  23. For obedience they are expected to walk at heel - its the most important position in the whole wide world. For showing it is not important. Thankyou I will teach two different commands thankyou
  24. ptolomy one question i want to get kelari into obedience too we are practicing heaps just don't want to confuse her yet as she needs to elarn the show stand lol but my question is: is heel just a position for a start point or are they expected to walk at heel??
