I had a mate let me practice on his dogs last night i was then able to see what i was doing wrong he also gave some pointers on where i should be holding the lead, the head and how to get dog to stop pushing back on itself thus a framing. i then put this all into practice with my five month old pup and low and behold he stood and looked decent :D so although i am still learning my advice might be to see if you can practice with someone elses dog (we were at his house) it gave me the confidence when i was like oh the dogs looks good oh wait thats what i am doing wrong with mine its funny how i could see the faults using someone elses dog that i watch week in and week out.

I think im getting too old to want to experience another puppy, i just dont have the energy to keep up with the one i have I did a second take at first, theres a member on here called Kiwigirl, and my ears priced up thinking shes getting a puppy ! (wish i could tag names like on fb for her to see this lol) Congrats on your soon to be puppy, not long to wait now kiwigal , enjoy ! LOL, when I first signed up this forum I was gonna use "Kiwigirl" but that name wasn't available at the time. So I thought Kiwigal is close enough. :) Thank you, I'm counting down the days to bring her home soon, also it will be my first time to give a go at the Dog Show in WA. :) I better make sure I haven't forgotten something to add on what I need before the pup comes home. oh all the best with your puppy i show phantom so feel free to pop over and say hi. his pedigree name so you can look to see if i am entered is Moccarott No comment Desired. i am the shortest rottweiler shower there female and sometimes have my three kids with me :D

I can rejoin this thread this was my Christmas present he arrived Christmas eve :) Phantom as he is known is so full of beans, into everything yet so easy to train. He will be shown amongst other sporting activities :)

Was wondering if we are going to organise a christmas meet again, i enjoyed last years :)

What a lovely story. A few weeks ago i went for dinner at my mum's house with my kids we stayed quite late it was 9:30ish when i noticed the outside sensor light turn on. I mentioned it to mum and her and myself went to investigate who was outside saw two dogs, a golden retriever and an aussie shepherd. it was raining and i went outside and called and whistled got down low and both dogs ran towards me i managed to snag both collars which had tags. grabbed leads out of my car and called owners. once owners returned call they came to collect dogs. They had only just replaced their fences as they were getting out so she had no idea how they got out and were so greatful. Think she was shocked i knew the aussie shepherd breed not too common in our area. the next day her and her daughter came up to our house with home made doggy treats, some looked like icecream cones and cupcakes they were awesome. iwas just glad dogs were ok

I've never been international either I am the most untraveled person i haven't even been to rottnest Ihave been to Qld though. Stayed in brisbane and visited the surrounds and townsville. and Stradbroke island whilst over there.

yes we did and now the landlord has decided to evict us after almost 8 years. at least as i used the side of the house the worst cost we lost is the paving so no big deal the gate was all stuff we already had lying around and i will be repacking up the gravel etc we brought and taking it with us :p i have actually applied for a house that has a dog run already in yard fingers and toes crossed we get it

i wont be showing for a while i don't think having to move house :S will do the big ones but maybei can use the time to train at home with chandra and squid then maybe i might enter an obedience trial

Hi ptolomy i saw you too was gonna come back and say hi but i spent most of the day changing peoples perceptions on the breed ;) we were the rottis just as you walked in the door on the right near the tap. i may of been at one of hte ohter rotti stands at that point in time. kelari was first out of one :) chandra was 2 of 2. but our bench display won best display and we got a bottle of wine. we had a great day and i enjoyed watching the dancing with dogs and all that i was able to see when i ducked outdoors :) was a warm day and i was glad to be able to leave as we had a wedding the day before and i only had 3 hours sleep lol

She has indeed. she is a little pocket rocket lately go go go go go go and did i mention go go go???? we have been playing lots of fetch in the backyard and she still has energy to burn time to get her brain active i think once it warms up a bit more i hate the cold weather :D RUUUUUDE!! :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: :lol:

Thanks everyone :) she is my baby girl and i love how she is developing she is really coming into herself now :) and she makes the best hot water bottle ;) thanks mirawee received the tickets today much appreciated

you can so see she is unloved can't you, lack of sparkle in her eyes, dull coat, no life in her at all, not even that tell tale rotti smile i'll pop her on the next flight Oso :D she obviously needs to be cared for better than she is here. :)
