  1. I am a big fan of Cav's too. They have a lovely nature but they do tend to get a few health issues.
  2. Its so awful!! I can't believe the human race sometimes.
  3. At the vet hospital i work at we have seen lots of odd things stuck. Plastic nipple of a babies bottle, g-string, tampons and quite a few skewers to name a few!! All of them where very expensive to the owner.
  4. You are so lucky your boy waits to see if you come back!If I get up at 3am to go to the loo(which is most nights)Stan is straight in the spot I just got out of.So it's pull MY pillow out from under his head andaround to the other freezing cold side.He always does this really loud sigh like me getting back in gives him the s**ts!SORRY! Ours do the same if we go to the loo. And they seem to stretch out and take up so much room your stuck on the side of the bed.
  5. Agree with aussie lover. My 7 year old female foxie sometimes does it to our other dog when she gets over excited.
  6. It should clear up with a good diet and maybe some sardines on her food. I find it really common in my foster greys especially ones from the pound. Who knows what she was or wasnt feed before you rescued her!!
  7. Haven't stayed in these personally - but they've always looked nice Sapphire Coast/Bega/ Takeabreak Thanks Tassie will check one out next month. One with a fire place with this cold weather!!
  8. My husband goes to work at 6am and my daughter and i sleep in until after 8am. With the cold mornings i have been waking up to little room in our bed. Any one else have the same problem??
  9. Be careful doing this - I think some of the human forms of this contain xylitol Had me worried but checked the packet and it was not in it.
  10. I agree. Probably more to this story than whats been told.
  11. We have two cavs at work that have some symtoms (but not MRI) that probably have the disease.
  12. Yep small fluffies and staffy's (even though i own a very friendly one). Having said that my little foxie was attacked by 2 groodles a couple of weeks ago without any warning while out walking. The owner said that she had $2000 worth of fines since xmas because they kept escaping.
  13. Its good to know that there is such a thing as good customer service around. We have one close by but i have never been there. Maybe i will check them out.
  14. All the puppy photos are so cute!! I wish i had found this thread earlier.
  15. There both gorgeous!!
  16. I think that sentinel only makes the adult fleas sterile. So if you your dog gets fleas say from a friends house they will live on the dog until they die but can not reproduce. So you may still see fleas on your dog and your dog may still scratch. Some one can correct me if i am wrong. Advantix kills adult fleas and their eggs as well. Interceptor are flavoured tablets and my dog does not really like them but your dog may be fine.
  17. I hope you get support for the fenced area. It would be great to see one on the central coast. I am lucky enough to own greyhounds and Gosford Greyhound Track allows us to use their facilities to exercise our pet greyhounds.
  18. It depends on what flea control you are using. Products such as frontline and advantix can be used fortnightly so it would be safe. As suggested by deltiod you could use a capstar(close) tablet. They only last 48 hours but kill all adult fleas and are not very expensive. My vet told me that you need to be careful what shampoo you use and how often you use it as it can strip your dogs coat and wash away some of the spot on flea controls losing effectiveness.
