Mine are inside with the fans on. Lots of water with ice blocks in the morning. They normally lay on the tiles which stay pretty cool.

It is becoming more and more regular, the poor oldies coming through the shelter In the past month we have rehomed a 14 year old, 2 x 13 year old best friends, not to mention all the other oldies. It is really heartbreaking

I have a cat with 3 legs, he had a hind leg amputated before I adopted him when he was 9 months old. He was also hit by a car. They pinned his leg, but unfortunately the bone shattered around the pin so he lost to whole leg. He gets around perfectly fine and jumps, climbs, runs like all the rest of cats. He is a strictly indoor only cat (but as are all my others) :) ETA: THIS thread is recent and a lot of people have shared their experiences with animal amputees.

Mine aren't really licky dogs, but I don't mind kisses, just not over the top.. Willow constantly licks the tops of my feet whenever I have bare feet!

Willow, my westie x had her left hind leg amputated at 12 weeks old after having a fracture early on that never healed. She gets around like nothing is missing and runs just at fast as Maverick and keeps up with her friends. Jayjay my scardey cat had one of his hind legs amputated before I adopted him after being hit by a cat at 11 months old. He copes perfectly fine, gets around and climbs like any of the other cats. Neither of them have worried at all about losing their legs and are happy as ever :)

Maverick doesn't really play with toys. Willow's most favourite toys are the Kong Wubba Friends. She has all the different designs and will go tearing around the house and digging through the toy boxes past all the other toys just to find them!

I have received order #1 & #3 but not #2 or #4 yet.. My guys absolutely love their Wubba Friends the best!
