Petbarn at Chadstone, NarreWarren & Plenty Valley are the only ones that I know of that adopt out animals, other then fish etc.. All their cats and dogs though, come from Lort Smith.

Haichiko Demon - From Snow Dogs Napoleon - from Napoleon! -
They are going to keep their partnership with Lort Smith. Only shelter cats & dogs will be adopted out from there. From all the stores, Chadstone, Narre Warren & Plenty Valley

We either snip them with scissors or use a stitch cutter (small curved blade). Only takes a couple of seconds :D

What To Do About Chewing/eating Her Bed
MavericksMission replied to becandcharch's topic in General Dog Discussion
I know how you feel! Maverick is a chewer.. absolute horror with beds and blankets. It's sad because Hector quite likes him comfort... :D I have tried the "indestructible beds" (ahaha, just gave Maverick something to work harder on..) I have tried the bitter sprays, ones from the shops and homemade.. (he just thanks me for adding flavour to the beds..) Now they both have a nice inside bed, for when I can watch them.. And just big blankets from work or the salvos, just throw them out as he destroys them. If you do find a miracle solution please feel free to share with me! -
Okay so .. I think am addicted to DOL! I found my self on my lunch break at work on my iPhone on DOL.. I love getting on and seeing the beautiful pictures of everyones dogs, hearing all the happy stories, shedding a tear with the sad stories and just having a vent! I can't help myself! I am still only a newbie on here.. but I am learning so much and meeting so many lovely, lovely people! I really appreciate all the help with my probably quite silly, odd sounding questions and queries! You are all so kind, thank you google for helping me stumble across DOL

What beautiful shots! Would it be okay if I saved a copy of the ones of Maverick & Hector, they are such gorgeous photos! I was taking photos on my iPhone, but it has no zoom, so not so great for action shots. -
Hi Iggy Mum I would suggest registering her with CAR, they are well known and They have a online search engine, unlike a couple of other registers, I work in a shelter and we always jump online as soon as an animal comes up with a chip, too see if it is registered with CAR. So that we can contact the owners much quicker! Other wise, most of the others we have to call up and wait in line and speak to someone to be able to get the owners details. Just my opinion

Maverick And Hector By The Lake
MavericksMission replied to MavericksMission's topic in Photos, Photos, Photos
Thank you all Thank you so, so, so, so much Kahlua! It looks amazing now, I had no hope of fixing it! thank you Hector is a from a shelter, he was down as a Koolie Cross Husky, could be anything really Thats the lake/dam near the sports grounds, probably just as close to the obedience area too. -
Took Maverick and Hector down for a long walk around Presidents Park the other night. They had alot of fun Huggable Hector Smiley Maverick I really like this picture, except that the lead goes through picture.
-
I have there collars rather loose, easy to slip over their head if they get caught on something, but still tight enough that they don't just fall off. Maverick is walked on a ezy walk harness and Hector is walk on a flat collar, so I just tighten his collar when going for walkies!
-
Oh Maybe it is me doing the wrong thing leaving their collars on..
-
I guess it is a personal preference.. not really a right or wrong. I make my boys wear their collars mainly for identification purposes, all the time, in the yard and out walking. They are both microchipped, I guess it is just for piece of mind while I am at work

Sorry I don't have any advice.. But I have been reading all the feedback and I think once I get through my bag of Nutro Puppy and Super Coat Adult, I will switch both of my boys over to Eagle Pack, preferably the holistic select. May even change the cats over, that way the whole family are eating the one brand for once!
