Maverick is a chewer. He is getting better finally now, he is 15 months old. I fill up a treat ball or puzzle cube in the morning for his breakfast. Sometimes I give him a kong with some cream cheese and a chicken neck. Bones are also good distraction! I either completely dog proof our kitchen/dining area or crate him. Also since I got him a friend, He is more distracted playing with him and not chewing I do agree with Jennt, lots of toys! But rotate them so he gets different games each day. I also take Maverick for long walks, runs & play dates daily. Good luck with everything!!

Any luck finding owners yet ?

My childhood dog who passed over the rainbow bridge early this year at the age of 16, only ever had supermarket brand food.. She was a Kelpie Cross. She has My Dog canned food for her last couple of years and Optimum Mature Dog. When she was younger, I'm pretty sure that she mainly had Pedigree Pal, wet & dry! ETA: She got regular bones & table scraps.

I agree.. Aloveen! Have never had any problems with it, it is great for dogs with sensitive skin, like my old girl.. and it makes them smell pretty

Our ones that we use at work are different to that, but when the batteries were dying it would come up with 000000000000000 as well. oh dear, hope you can find our smaller one!

We had floorboards in our last house and they copped a beating from the dogs over time, scratches and they were awfully slippery.. In out new house we have tiles in most areas, just carpet in the bedrooms and in the small lounge room! I like the tiles, not so slippery, easy to clean.. although they are white and with dark hair dogs & cats... there is alot of cleaning! .. oh well that comes with owning furry friends!

2 Dogs and 5 cats (moggies) here! Oliver, our ginger moggy loves, loves, love the dogs. Oliver chases Hector (pup) around the kitchen, trying to get him to play with him.. He has also always loved Maverick, his long fur is good to curl up in.. The other cats tolerate, but I wouldn't say that they love them :D They give the dogs a right whack on the nose when they get in their face!

I own two Cross breeds "mutts" I absolutely adore them. I have never owned a pure bred dog with papers, and I won't say that I never will I don't think that you are a snob for owning or wanting a pure bred dog, everyone has their own opinions on what they would like to own, no one is wrong really (except maybe BYB ) People deserve the right to choose a respected registered breeder and not be judged. I love all dogs pure breed & cross breed :D

Thanks for your input guys! :D I just did a little "test" .. I got a couple of samples of the holistic select & nutro in a couple of different flavours. I placed a very small handful of nutro in one side of a double sided bowl and a small handful of the holistic select... Waited a minute and watched which one they preferred... and the answer is.. *drumroll* Holistic select! So this is what I will be swapping the dogs over to and I am going to see if I can get a sample of the cat food, so the whole fur family can be on the one brand of premium food for once

Hey guys.. Just wondering your opinions on Eagle Pack Holistic Select range of food.. I am thinking about switching my whole fur family onto it, both dogs&cats.. I have read a bit about it and think it sounds good, I like the look of the ingredients. I was just wondering if there was anyone who uses it or has opinions on why they don't use it? I don't mind spending the money on the premium food. I will be buying a puppy recipe & an adult dog recipe. Hector (puppy) is currently being fed Nutro puppy large breed and Maverick (adult) is being fed supercoat adult, trying to get through the bag so I can make a change.. If any of you have opinions or other suggestions, I would love to hear them ** Note, they get chicken wings and chicken necks in with their dinner, so not just dry food diet.
