  2. ohhhh I think this month will be exciting, trying to catch things out! Here is my first one for the month.. Lemur at the zoo that I caught cleaning himself with his leg straight up in the air Is this along the right track?
  3. Hehe! No doggy door due to the destruction that would be caused and I'm sure they would work as a team and let all the cats outside! Thanks, I bought a Canon 450d
  4. Thanks Possum Corner I think I am going to go out and buy myself Photoshop Elements.. This Aperture basically only edits the colours and contrast and what not.. I'm after something that I can do layers and things with..
  5. I just bought Aperture photo editing program for my macbook. Does anyone else out there use it? If you do use it, do you know of a good step by step website or something for explaining everything. I just don't know where to start..
  6. Hehe Thanks I am having soooooo much fun with this new camera! Hector & Maverick make such wonderful models! Even if they don't appreciate my camera in their face all the time
  7. I just purchased a Canon 450D as my first ever DSLR! I am absolutely loving it! I think it is a fantastic camera to start with.. my opinion JB Hifi just had a fantastic sale on cameras, which is where I got mine.. Good luck and let us know what you end up with!!
  8. Haha Thanks guys Here is just another photo taken just before the rain.. and just before they completely destroyed the bed he is sitting on..
  9. :D I snapped up these three photos this morning as we were about to leave to go out.. It had just started to rain and this is was Hector thought of the whole situation.. Hector's look of disgust.. "You're not letting me inside mum!! How rude" "Maybe a bit of window cleaning would help persuade her.." "Nope.. didn't work.. I will continue to give her dirty looks through the window.." Please note.. they do have two giant kennels, big enough to pretty much fit in 5 dogs.. and if I wasn't going out.. they would have been inside with me, curled up on their beds
  10. He could well have a bit of Kelpie in him.. Maybe thats where the Koolie is hiding.. in the kelpie like face
  11. He is still a pup, so still growing, he is only just going 4 months. I guess I will get a better idea when he is fully grown. He is chocolate and white :D He is tall and chunky..
  12. Never owned pure breeds before either.. I think I may have my heart set on a colour.. but I would definitely go for personalty when it came down to it Edited - Spelling mistakes..
  13. Well the people who surrendered him said Koolie Cross Husky.. I can't really see the Koolie in the colour or anything.. maybe a bit of Husky in there.. not entirely sure.. Does anyone have any thoughts? What you guys would call them? What breeds you see?
  14. Well...I was not looking for a puppy when I found Maverick.. Maverick came into the shelter I work at with his 5 siblings. I thought nothing more then ,it is just another litter of unwanted puppies. I placed them all into their pen, all the puppies went around and sniffed the pen and ate some food, not Maverick, he came up and put his paws on my knee and gazed into my eyes. I popped him down and then continued to keep working, through out the day going in and cleaning up after them. Every time I went into the room, Maverick would run up and put his paws up on the door and give a little cry until I gave him some attention.. So after about 4 days of that, I brought mum into the shelter to show her, I had never thought she would have agreed to getting a puppy, but she fell in love as well! So he is sitting next to a year and a half later and I still remember it like it was just yesterday! Now Hector is my newest addition, he only came home about 2 months ago. He also came into the shelter with his 5 siblings. I had not long lost my old girl Tinka, when he came into the shelter.. I wasn't looking for a puppy, but agreed that if the right one came along we may consider it. Well.. Hector was placed into my arms by his owner and it was instantly love at first sight. Went home and discussed it with mum and then we adopted. I brought him home and the look on Maverick's face was priceless.. sort of like a "oh my goodness, can we keep him mum, can we, can we!!!" Ahh I love them :D
  15. Kirty - Twas only for the staff in the shelter to test their own dogs :D sorrrrrrryyyyy WoofnHoof - Yes I think they just said he was pure sibe because they couldn't find any other "primary" breeds When people ask me what breed they are I'm a bit confused as to what to call them... what I have always called them or what bitsa thinks they are.. I think I will continue calling them what I am now..
  16. I can too WoofnHoof, but not entirely sure that he is a pure breed
  17. They were free for the shelter staff at work. I would never had paid that amount of money for something that I had great doubts with But when they were giving us free ones at work, I guess curiosity got the better of me
  18. We got free BITSA tests at work.. and I have just got the results of Maverick and Hector back.. According to BITSA.. this is a pure breed Siberian Husky.. And this is a Staffy Cross Malamute.. mmm I'm not so convinced..
  19. What an absolutely, gorgeous, beautiful, stunning puppy!!
  20. Kitty poop is a delicacy for dogs! I second the hooded litter tray!
  21. This is the first time I have ever entered something into the photo challenges.. Not sure if this is right or not?
