  1. Maverick is fine in the cold, he loves lying on the cold concrete rolling around on his back.. I put a polar fleece coat on Willow, her he is very fine and wispy :)
  2. So sorry K9, she would have had a beautiful last few days with you, rather then dying alone in the carpark. Run Free Cookie,
  3. I have a 3.5 year old & a 9 month old :) When I had my heart dog Tinka, there was a 14 year between her & Maverick.
  4. Another vote here for F10. We use it in the shelter/hospital at work and I also use it at home between fosters.
  5. I thing have done pretty well considering we went a from "we are only having one dog and one dog only!" family, too two dogs, eight cats & 4 guinea pigs (all rescues) In all honesty, I think the space I have for the dogs would is big enough for the two pooches, but might be pushing it with a third! But still, back to dreaming, Bilbo
  6. just saw this! Yes, I do want another scruffy friend for Willow.. my mum on the other hand does not! I just stalk your thread to see all the cuties and the amazing work you do! :D
  7. There is a homeless lady and her pooch who I have seen a couple of times in the Melb CBD. Her little dog has a warm coat on in winter along with a soft bed & some toys. I have gone into a coles express/iga etc to grab a small amount of dog food for a couple of homeless people with their dogs.
  8. I'm sorry you're having camera problems, and I'm glad it's sorted itself out now. I'm really hoping the bolded comment is just a generalisation and isn't directed at anyone on DOL. I've always liked coming to photos on DOL cause I've found it to be a friendly place. I agree with Kirislin, it would be really disappointing if that was directed towards to some members on DOL. I don't think kja was being personal at all.
  9. Thanks Huga! Luckily this was a one off shoot, not looking to get into newborn photography, will stick with the animals thanks! I learnt a lot and should I ever be asked to do a newborn shoot again, I will know some things to do differently for next time!
  10. oh no! Hope Canon can fix it quickly and at a reasonable price! ETA: Do you have a friend with a similar model camera that you could borrow for your shoots?
  11. Thanks Linda. I did get a couple of shots of him naked for her, but he really didn't want to co-operate. I'm going to go back and do another shoot when he is a bit older too :)
  12. That was so super challenging! I'm glad it was my cousin who I tried newborn photography with for the first time. I will post a couple when I have finished editing them. They are not the best, but she loves them, so to me that's all that matters.
  13. Mouse Willow Maverick prefers lying on the cold floors rather than on his bed!
  14. Definitely do! I thoroughly enjoy looking at other peoples baby sessions. I photographed six week old twins a while back, they were very alert, so no sleepy shots there! Their session is here: http://www.katietakesapicture.com.au/?p=449 I also did a session with a four month old last weekend, which is here: http://www.katietakesapicture.com.au/?p=1245 Wow, they are beautiful sessions Huga!! The families must be very happy with them! :)
  15. Nope not at all Huga :) I totally understand that will be difficult, I did explain to her that I am an animal photographer, but will try my best! Will post a couple if I get any nice ones (with her consent)
  16. yeaaah will definitely be a challenge! I was meant to do it at 4 weeks old, but he ended up sick in hospital. Can only try, hopefully I can get a couple of good ones for her! :)
  17. I'm doing a photo shoot for my cousin with her 6 week old bubba tomorrow. Any tips from the experts? I have been reading up on some photography forums, just thought I was ask the DOL photography legends! :)
