  1. And the closing date is? (or is it only me that cant see it?)
  2. My inspiration for training are the dogs really. Other peoples dogs, that Im told are really bad, but in fact they are quite good just owners dont know what to do. As to people that I value as trainers - there is no doubt that I belong to the K9 Force fan club. A person that made me interested in dog training was my first obiedience instructor in a club, her name is Sandra and she had kelpies that she did agility, herding and obiedience with. Her dogs were really good and she certainly was an infuence for me. I have lost contact with her shortly after, but met her couple of years ago at obiedience trail.
  3. Looks like the GSD has progressed into working under distraction phase (distraction being the OH wiht chicken in his hand waving ) Good work!!! :D
  4. prodigybxr - that is one cute little dog doing well at a young age. did you have a tummy ache? I have noticed that before that in Australia heaps of people keep their hands on their body, in Europe that is a major fault, as hands meant to be naturally hanging along the body and be moving while you walk. But hey we get away with it here, lets use it Here is doing their bit. (notice the hand as well)
  5. Personally Id like to see you Stamp, since Im you quiet fan. However Id also like to see Yank and Mum doing their spinning stuff, really anything insirational you might have. Dont forget we upload more than ONE video.....
  6. Stamp just tell her to send me the file and Ill upload it for her. oh and a 1-2 minute video can be taken with the digital camera that she takes photos with, if she can do that Ill do the rest for her. or if she wants I can write her a procedure on how to do it.
  7. Dear Stamp, your Mum has had some private conversations with me in the past and told me about her goals so I know what she is trying to do here, but I just publically want to say that if I dont get a video of you from the important competition she is dead. Im happy to receive the video by emial and not share it with the world, just let her know that, it might help to settle her weak nerves a bit. Love one of your fans
  8. nah, just send them to the moon in all seriousness if you can live throught the pain of ignoring the whinging the dog will eventually stop.
  9. Pekko and Anneli at a training session Music and weird masks are of a Norwegian (or is it Swedish) band that won the Eurovision contest this year Pekko at home with Jimi
  10. Are you sure people you want me to do that? Disclaimer: Videos that I might put up are usually of schutzhund dogs. Some people get offended by the biting, barking, the stick etc. If you are one of those people please do not watch the videos. Here is a prey driven belgian pupp. She lives with that dobe I posted in the other subject. at 7-9 weeks at 14 weeks At 5 months
  11. The dog in the video I posted is 2 years old right now. Judging by the weather in the video he was a lot less when it was taken.
  12. A while ago I have put some sch videos of a dobie with a tail doing some work in the snow. Lablover will remember.. Here is more of him - enjoy video I think Im in LOVE
  13. my personal observations tell me that the boys are faaaaaar worse. Forget the earplugs for the neighbours, move to the country side
  14. that is to addition to the one that already exists???
  15. Alternativelly to PAXs solution mojo could just purchase earplugs
  16. My guests are trained really quickly as well :D they all fall for it
  17. noisymina do you also get presents? Mine gives me his toys, he doesnt want me to play with him, they are just presents as it a look Ill swap you All of these activities are them trying to make you do something, lets face it. If you do what they want they learn to control you. Simple.
  18. I have seen dogs pull on prongs, they can learn to do that. IMHO the problem is with you as the owner not following through the method as prescribed. But let the experts speak.
  19. I dont know that many that dont whinge :D Mine whinges as well, I just ignore it and eventually he stops. He has learned though, that if he really really wants something and the whinging doesnt work he picks up a squeeky toy, places it on the floor and than steps on it making it squeeeeeeeek and squeeeeeeek Very entertaining, on occasion gets him somewhere But if I ignore his antics for long enough he just stops, its just a game of who can do it for longer. And believe me some can go for looooooooooooooooooong time.
  20. I gotta say that I think we are talking amongst ourselves here, as henrychlo finds us repulsive enough not engage in the debate although we have tried to provide him/her with info, photos etc. I also would like to add that I got seriously mauled yesterday by a flock of razorblades covered in fur. (namely a litter of pupps) The flock of them followed me when I tested they prey drive, they latched on to my legs, to my arms, my hair, one tried my ear. You should see my ankles and my hands clothing ripped, I guess if the ground wasnt turned into mud and if I had enough courage to be laying down Id be dead by now The little bastards once they got some idea of the game wouldnt let go and wouldnt give up!!!
  21. See this is where you lack of education in the subject comes in... The dogs are tought to control themselves not to do that, they are required to perform tasks in order to earn the ball as a reward. In the initial stages they try all tricks, such as jumping up and mouthing to get the ball but very soon they learn that this is not the way, the only way to get it is to preform what the handler asks for... My "out of control mauling" dobe - oh yes with K9 (so that you can check how K9 looks like ) Chasing the ball and not getting it doing a sit than a heal I cant see any blood anywhere once the dog completed the set of excercises the ball got released and he could carry it of a while in his mouth.
  22. Please people dont use arogant names, edit your posts before tomorrow, as the under 15 yo population will come on to read the forum, some angry Mum will report this to the mods ad it will get deleted for no apparent reason. henrynchlo - Im sure you have heard of teaching the dogs with food.... Do they maul the handlers hands in attempts to get the treat? What is the difference between a piece of salami v's a ball as a reward for the dog, please enlighten us. At least the balls we are using are on the string so the dogs grab the ball not the hand. I can not recall many people using pieces of cabanossi on a string as a training motivator.......... And before you make a judegment on someone professional that I bet you have not met, why dont you do some further research and show us how properly trained in drive pet dogs are a danger to anyone. Becouse last time I remember my dobermann entire male (I suppose that would really be considered a dog of a danger to the society) that loves his Kong happily shared his bed with a 1.5 yo child carrying his toy around. Oh I almost forgot - our dogs dont get trained on chokers (fyi - correct name is check chain) we do use prong collars if we need to. Im sorry but this is really funny ;) list bully, repulsive people engaging you in a debate
  23. unfortunatelly sunnys cav is on another side of the rainbow bridge for few years now
  24. I dont know, ask the breeder well he has lots of sex drive, just not prey drive...
