Kavik Whereis says its 40 minutes for you. Might be more with traffic. But once you get to Lane Cove its all freeway after that.

If we get together today Im doing a simple track or two and can show you guys how to start your dogs on that. I will also do some obedience (heeling, sit on the move, SFE, figure of 8 and can do a group stay, could do out of sight one too if others were watching my dog and Rex will need to be tied up in case he decides to go to other dogs) Im happy to do the obediecne (or most parts of it) in a group on lead. I need someone to watch me and tell me if Im using hand signals. I need someone to call the excercise as a judge would in the obedicne ring. Kavik if you come can you please show me how to start on the send away.

Hey, do you guys want to check the grounds out today? I can be there at 6.30pm, possibly even earlier so we would get the daylight and would see where are the possible lights.

I dont have a problem with that at all, and if I will I can choose just not to participate. Simple

I dont have a problem socialising my dog, providing its in a controlled envioronment and all are on the same page when it comes to what and how we do it. If something is not to my liking I also dont have a problem removing my dog from the situation. As an example I can tell you now that if my friend with the malinois would join us I wont be socialising Divani with her dog. She is petrified of him, why put her in that position? Chopper and Angel are fine for Divani not sure about Trixie. And if Im not sure I would either set up very controlled situations or not participate at all in that part. As I said before those that need to socialise the dogs with countless other dogs need to be aware that they might potentially stuff someones perfectly good dog in the process, if things are not organised properly.

I had in mind something between sch and ob club. Ruthless out of all the people on this list that I know YOU should know that when you train you should stage the distractions!! If you dont and you teach something than go to proof without the dog going through the training phase you end up over correcting, frustrated and your dog doesnt progress as fast as it could, if ever. If you were teaching a send away (lets say) you would ask for 50 off lead dogs during your first session, would you??? If I was to practice off lead stuff and you were doing off lead stuff with Trixie I guarantee you that I would put my dog away at this stage. Baby steps ruthless. And if you will never progress to the level you want to progress.

Last time I ahve asked Marion and told her that myself and few people are looking for some grounds she told me that the grounds they use are school and the lights are "borrowed" from a factory next door. She adviced that we wouldnt be able to join them as it was a privatelly organised thing. But maybe things changed, I will see her on Saturday so I can ask again.

I meant I never envisage a class of people doing the same excercises - like a standard clubs do. I see people getting their dog out and if need be all other dogs are locked up or selected dogs out and people helping each other, spoting, exchanging ideas. If some want to do group stays they do a group stay. But hey Ruthless is the president, she might have other ideas!

Long time ago when was was still training with K9 Force, and was thinking about organisisng a club, he offered that he would come to a session for free. Perhaps you can guys ask him. I probably would be able to organise an istructor form my ob club and I know couple of people that are brilliant trainers and could on occasion come. Hey Pax moved to Sydney, lets kidnapp her for a day! Re official use of grounds - I have rang in the past Rockdale, Cantenburry, Kogarah and Hustville councils. I was asking for grounds with lights on a week night. Only Hurstville council was able to offer me one but it was near a main road and it cost nearly $2000 a year. All other gorunds were booked out. I know that one flyball club has been looking for grounds for ages, unsucessfully. So when it comes to getting together and doing some activities I suggest that we do this privatelly with no permission, fees, insurance etc.

7pm? I already said - all gear allowed. We will love your agility stuff too! I naver had a class as such in mind, for that we would need an instructor, and no Im not volounteering.

Tempe Recreational Reserve in Tempe Entrance via Holbeach St near Princess Hwy. Exit at Arncliffe from M5 and 2 minute drive from M5.

Lights - we need lights! I think the park Im thinking of near the Airport might do sports and we can use parts of the field where there are lights.

good I can get another 2-3 people on regular basis that would be willing to come to training near the airport. Ruthless you will need to design a logo :rolleyes: I can do Tue, Wed or Thur. So what would we do?? Im after improvements in my training in drive for obedience purposes and trails. Tracking Would love someone with agility knowledge and the gear....

near Homebush? would that be ok? Or near Airport- that would be better for me and Ruthless.

Im a comittee member of 3 clubs already Im a sucker for punishment However when it comes to the idea perhaps you can search through my threads from the past..... I had this idea looong time ago. DOLers couldnt decide on the night nor on the area to train. But lets propose it again, Ill be up to it if its within 15-20 minutes drive from my place. Oh and all gear allowed :wink:

CP - you know that one. Sutherland - they train on Sunday mornings and do some nights Mon, Wed and I think Friday. this is again geared towards those that want to trail. Agility is on Wed, you have to be in their class 3 to be able to ask to go to agility. Concord - not sure what day they train on. Homebush - Sunday morning and Tue evenings for those that was to trial. Not sure if there is agility. And there is a flyball club I think they train in Tempe you will have to ask Marylin with the death scotish terrier at the Peakhurst club she does flyball at that other club. I really think we should have our own club ruthless, I can be the treasurer you be the secretary

if you pulp the vegies and mix it with the mince than add oil to the mix. you can give them canned or raw fish too.

Get on a bike if you need her to tone up, but to me she doesnt need to look more muscely. And dont forget she doesnt know she is missing out on something.

What have you achieved with this dog so far? Is it Trixie? Why do you want to progress? Are you 100% happy with the level she is at right now and thats why you want to move on? Have you walked with this other dog on lead several times with no issues? have the dogs said hello on lead with no issues? Issues I mean no hackles, no body stiffening etc? How is the dogs recall? ecollar doable?

Ill add to this - If the other person is a pet owner with limited training knowledge while you are fixing your dog, if things go wrong you could potentially be stuffing up someones perfectly good dog. You need a person that knows a lot aobut training and has multiple non reactive dogs. I think you have enough knowledge to deal with the situation on your end, you need someone that has enough knowledge and few good dogs to train with. This was always my problem - I could never find those people with those dogs.... And no Im not offering - Reason as per my first sentence in this post.
