  1. Thats and option, or wait for Nathan to move and Hannah will sort Chopper out in no time
  2. When I get a farm no problem , he can scream his guts out and noone will hear him (Ill wear ear plugs)
  3. not a book, but honestly I would try this for a while Ill add, Id leave him with a bone, which Im pretty sure he wouldnt touch, but there would be an option for him to do so. And another thing, I would leave him with nothing when he is in his run when the other dogs are in their runs. I would also play a lot with him on his own, other dogs in their runs, watching. I would swap and play with another dog while he is watching, and would not let him out if he had a tantrum.
  4. Id be writing a month not a week, or make it nicer 40 days and 40 nights There are plenty of things you can do with two, or with one at home. Try 3 dobes, that will give you an idea
  5. I feel sorry for you because as you say you dont have fun in having the dogs, which is not true, I know that much. Im in two minds aobut Chopper, only because I like him. One I would lock the bastard up in the run by himslef put the antibarking collar on him and take all 3 other dogs for a walk. And I would do it every day until he stopped his tantrums. On another hand I would walk two dogs That is Ivan with Chopper Trixie with Chopper Angel with Chopper I only have one comment - the more physical excercise you will do the stronger, fitter, etc he will get and will need it more. He needs to occupy his mind more then the body. Chasing a ball obviously doenst do enough for him. When was the last time you taugh him a new complex behaviour?
  6. I know how organisers feel, Im a comittee member of 3 clubs and help out with stuff too. If I fail I leave and dont stay for presentations. I have never entered a double trial, once I have entered a show and trial on the same day and I was placed last in the trial and of course show and trial clashed. I run full speed from the show ring to the obedience ring, it was a boiling hot day too. I indicated on the entry forms that Im entered in the show and trial and spoke to the organisers about it in the morning. I would loved to be going in the obedience first that day, they decided to place me last. Never again that Ill do a double again, Ive learned a lesson that day, thats bad showing and bad training. Anyway.... so basically there is no "rule" as such in the lower classes as to how the entries are organised? In the shows the dogs in the class are organised in the alphabetical order of the owners surname.
  7. Midol is no longer a member here, if you want to contact him try asking ILTBY to get in touch with him. Or you can find him on a specialist working dogs forum
  8. Im new to the whole trialing thing so I dont know any show secretaries (except the Dobe club one) so I guess my surname must piss them off. I would understand that if I send my entry late then Im last, but for the upcoming trial (this weekend) I ahve send an entry before I went overseas in April. I check the DOGS NSW website and see if the journal is out and I entered Id say in the first couple of days. I am nr 23, last one.
  9. I have entered few trials and every single time, no fail, Im the last one in. My surname starts with K, my dogs name starts with F. I entered last minute, or when the journal was only available on line, makes no difference. What does the placing in the ring depend on in obedience? Or do you have to know the secretary and ask to be first? Its a bit painful that I have to be there for vetting at 8 am and dont go in the ring untill about 11.30
  10. I like a 6ft leather leash for every day use. I have a short thin ones for trailing and showing.
  11. Ripley took these photos on Sunday. They are breathtaking IMHO
  12. Just look at the eyes in this one... She just HAD TO get her nose dirty for a portrait shot
  13. It hasnt been that long for me Divani is only 3 yo and I still remember her antics. This pupp is super cheaky and super inteligent. And my new ugg boots are on the top of her wish list. You have no idea how I need to guard them Im also glad that Tillys owner thinks of her pupp as the best thing ever.
  14. Yes they are permanent, Divani has one as well. There is nothing that can be done now, its only prevention, but thats too late now. I just want to prevent it from happening again and so far have no solution, well I do locking her up in a padded room, or removing furniture from my house.
  15. Thanks PF. I also need to buy a crash helmet for my puppy, she already has an egg head and she continues to run into things and hitting the occiput. I thought I might superglue a piece of foam to her head...
  16. I get that plus more in a week I think some of the bite marks on my hands will be permanent
  17. They are grey and NORMALLY dotn show dirt that much. Just shows you HOW dirt I actually was...
  18. As some of you know I have a pupp, she is 4.5 months old and feral. But Im getting on top of it somewhat and only get occasional buising and bites on my body. Yesterday I talked the owner of Furias sister to come to training with us and she brought Tilly. Well my pupp is feral but that one is really something else and she was a lot quiter when she was a pupp..... I wanted to show the owner how to train in drive, and this is what my pupp and her pupp did to me.... I had clean clothes on, took them straight from the drier before I went to training. My training vest and my pants I also had brand new hiking shoes on, and didnt take a pic of it as I nearly cried after I saw them. I had mud on my face, I have paw prints on my shoulders on my back, I have hair ripped out, dirt under the nails that I cant wash out. My back hurts and Im really tired today. We also had that dog on a bite pillow and swining in the air, this is after she trashed me around for an hour. Who on earth would want a dobe from show lines? Also apparently I kept the wrong dog . Im so happy I did
  19. If you contact a schutzhund club they might be able to direct you somewhere as well.

  21. Best vet in the world - Garry Carter in Londonderry. let me know if you want his number. I travel to him 80km one way for a consult.
  22. I have been adviced that the session will be geared to what will the atendees want. If majority will want to talk about tracking big part will be about this, if they will want obedience it will be about obedience.
  23. no idea, but noone from Waratah Club. There are some people in QLD and VIC that will. I dare say Alison Kollenberg will.
  24. no, no movie clips. do a youtube search and you will find plenty of police type stuff videos.
