My dogs are on natural raw diet, so they get super protein and fair bit of vegies as well, I dont know how I could adjust that. ACV - I tried giving it to the dogs and they dont want to drink the water. I used to put tiny amounts so they would get used to and even small amounts they would turn their noses. They dont drink a lot as they are on natural diet.

I have new turf that was put down two weeks ago. Dogs are not allowed to run on it as yet, and each time they toileted on it I flushed it with water. But still there are some unsightly burned stains. Is there anything that you guys tried that WORKED to help to minimize this?

I was guilty of this myself. I never realised how dog unsocial as a breed dobermanns are. Its a big generalisation of course as there are plenty very social dobes, but as a breed they are not really dog friendly. What is it about your breed?

Does anyone know this trainer? http://www.lamarracanine.com.au/index.html Someone I know has send their dog there and they rave on about this guy. After asking questions I said that it possibly is Australian Cesar Milan. Anyone have an opinion or knows this trainer?

I never asked for the details, I just gave them the dog and said that I hope he is chipped, didnt even wait to see if he was or wasnt. I left my number with them and said that if the owner cant be found to contact me. So its either that they couldnt be bothered looking for the owner, couldnt find the onwer yesterday or owner couldnt come yesterday to pick the dog up. As long as the dog is gone back home that is all that matters. I would love to hear from the owner, I said Im happy for the vet to give the owner my number. But who knows, maybe they let the dog roam the streets and are p*ssed off at me for picking it up and taking it to the pound. They would have to pay a fee to get him out right? Does anyone know how much is it?

I found a dog yesterday afternoon a lovely belgian shepherd. I took it to the pound in Carlton but it was closed it was 2.30-3pm so I went to the vets surgery next door and left him there. I said that if the dog is not chipped to let me know and Ill be happy to notify the belgian shepherd club and help with finding the owner or new home for it. I rang the vets/pound today and they said its all good, apprently the dog was chipped and the owner is picking it up today. So the question - I assume the owner was only notified today. Perhaps its a wrong assumption... But if my assumption is correct why wouldnt they be notified yesterday, is the microchip registry not open on weekends? or its something to do with the privacy or what? I hope that this dog was not let out to walk itself and the owners couldnt be bothered looking for it..... but I dont think so, he was well looked after, clean, soaking wet from the rain and obviously scared and stressed. I had trouble catching it, then I stopped at home on the way to the pound to pick BF up and it escaped from my car, had trouble catching it again, but did eventually. Boy was friendly enough, knew how to sit, and was very submissive, sweet thing.

I had tens of thousands offered for Rex. so far nothing for the girls, maybe its because I usually clear the footpath when I walk them both

I was offered money for Rex countless number of times, in thousands. I once walked on the street, a person chased me in a car, stoped in the middle of the road, left the car with open door there and was screeming that she has a perfect bitch and is looking for a stud dog but cant find one. Not only that Rex is the best she has ever seen. (well he was a super good looking dobe) When I asked if her bitch has papers she said no. I was trying to be nice and educate but as usual pretty much got nowhere. She then proceeded to tell me that as a woman she has maternal feelings and she has 3 kids and she wants her bitch to expereince the joy of motherhood. I said how do you know she wants to be a mother? She said - every female does. My reply - hmmmm no, Im a female and I dont want to reproduce. I dont think I need to add to the overpopulation on the planet She was shocked at my view and tried to tell me to have kids!!!! And people down the road with a REALLY poorly bred unpapered rottie bitch that was affraid of her own shadow pestered me to use Rex for about 3 years. Each time they offered me couple of puppies from the litter And their last offer was half a litter, but only if I helped them with some costs of feeding the pupps I think in year 4 they fially got the message that Rex wont go over their bitch.

When I got the smses I was in the car and got the BF to type the replies back, what I was sysing to reply was long so BF was refusing to type those dozens of words. I so wish people would on occasion call and say - I love dobermanns and Id love to learn and maybe breed in the future, can you point me in the right direction? Why is it that most people that own a dog and get the idea of breeding their dog automatically think of themselves as experts? Its a world wide phenomenon!

I do get an occasional phone call from someone looking for a puppy so they must google stuff and somewhere my number does come up. I dont mind, when I have a litter I will post my number everywhere so that makes no difference, but this guy isnt looking for a puppy he is looking for a stud dog. I mean if someone googles MonElite they will few returns in google, I am a registered breeder after all and was a commitee memeber of the Dobe Club for number of years.

I definitelly need someone end of January beggining of Feb. Ill be home for Xmas and NYE but have a room for you to stay if you wish, and I most likely wont be home much as Im on annual leave from work, just not traveling anywhere in that period (everyone is and everywhere is congested) Oh Im in Sydney.
