My dogue is currently 9 months old and we have just started showing, a late run I know but it just turned out this way. He stands well in the ring, runs well and is well behaved for the judge. He has won all his classes but constantly loses the challenge to a younger dogue bitch. To me he is going through his lanky teens with more skin to fill out and not much muscle definition but I thought a judge would take this into consideration. The other thing is he still seems to have his puppy coat where as the bitch has her nice short adult coat. Any pointers?

The offender (or alledged offender) would have been warned to cease what he was doing several times before the K9 was let off leash, he obviously didn't. K9's are treated like officers and causing harm to them is treated in the same manner, he is lucky he was not shot.

I ended up finding Sprenger collars at an online store in WA. Online Pet Accessories. I found it hard because some places only go up to a certain size collar, I needed a 55cm one now at 7 months old and this site had them and larger. I'll let you know how I go with delivery etc in the next week or so.

That is such a shame. Whatever happened to "treat others how you would want to be treated" or in this case how you'd want your children to be treated. Don't want a ticket then how hard is it to say, no thanks mate instead of making him feel like dirt? I'm sorry but what gives people the right to take their rubbish out on anyone else?

I am looking for a website that has good quality leads and collars for showing. I live in the sticks so there are no close shops for me to browse. Suitable for a large dog.
