Shits me, too, spotty - so hard to find plain simple dog accessories these days! Google is your friend, you may be able to find a 'cooler' hat from overseas, but I figured at least those ones were local and a nice plain blue one would do the trick!

http://www.itsadogshop.com/category139_1.htm - These guys are Aussie AFAIK, the hats aren't leather but they look like they'd be effective

Pfft :P They are nothing compared to what Rocco's pics will be! LOL I should have thought to have gotten a shot of the big group photo, that was pretty awesome, but I was too busy standing at the back gasbagging LOL He did do a LOT better than I expected him to - but today was the first day around other dogs where he actually calmed down a hell of a lot by the end, the collar we had on helped a LOT too... We're not allowed to use it at the obedience club we have started training with recently so I have to work him on a martingale and his level of stupidness is something else altogether, and it lasts ALL damn night until we get home again >_< edit: Cool. I think leaping at you was about the worst thing he did all day, actually LOL I was too busy looking at Raz and I didn't see the launch just felt it so I didn't know if he'd connected >_<

Good on you Daisy I should really be going for a run tonight (was too lazy last night), but I've just pigged out on fish and chips for dinner and the malinut is comatose in his crate after the photo shoot this afternoon, and then going nutso after the new staffy ball I bought him this arvo, which I unleashed when we got home! He spent about half an hour zooming around the yard with it, it's GREAT because he can't pick it up LOL, and then he gave up and crawled into his crate... Must set my alarm for early tomorrow morning and go run then...

and just because I can.... :P (The malinut actually behaving himself)

and some more... :P

I have re-sized these right down so you can't really recognise the people in them but if anyone would like any of these removed please say so
-
I took a few photos of the photo shoot, busy getting them off the camera now...
-
Apologies for my nutcase jumping up on you when you were retrieving Raz, he just can't help himself when it comes to tug toys *embarrased look* I too can't wait to see how the finished shots turn out! And it was so great to see so many well-behaved dogs all in one place

Sitting in the carpark on my iContraption, what a cool afternoon The malinut surprised me, apart from being his usual manic self when we first arrived, and wanting to kill any and all squeaky toys that were present, he did very well :D He even stayed in a drop stay when a little foxy (not from the DOL group) ran up and had a good sniff :D Thanks heaps to Rocco and Ashanali and everyone else who turned up for a fun arvo, all the dogs were just great
-
Nawwww! Loving the new pics! They make such a perfect pair :D
-
I just woke up and am about to take the malinut for a hydrobath - I think this time I will remember to wear some crappy clothes so I don't smell of dog wash all afternoon LOL Then I might try taking him for a run somewhere to dry him out and expend a heap of energy early so he has recovered and isn't a drool monster for the photo... could be easier said than done!

Damn. I had a HUGE pile of those little free weekly papers that end up all over your lawn... but I've just chucked them all out Observing how fast it has been getting dark the last few days we're probably going to have to do things quickly or the light will change a LOT! Looking forward to meeting everyone, I will be the one in a camo shirt with the crazy mal probably looking quite lost :P

Daisy toothaches are the worst Hope you're feeling better real soon! YAY I managed to complete c25k week 4 day 1, which all up is 16mins jogging in a half hour workout (2x 3min and 2x 5min) which for me is a pretty big achievement, I am very happy with us for completing it, even though the malinut could no doubt run a 20k marathon with no worries LOL I don't know what we are going to do when we finish up on this job (2 nights left after tonight) It's going to be hard to get off my fat butt and excercise when I am sitting at home on the computer... How I wish I had a human excercise partner to help keep me motivated - the malinut is great but he is happy to just chill in his crate 98% of the time and will only harrass me to play if I bother to go outside, which isn't all that often, heh...

Was told tonight that he has been started on the prednisone, and the vet gives him 2-3 months...
-
Just went back and re-read your original post - seems I have interpreted it correctly....
-
Isn't she just the cutest! I think I've also added to my list of 'Dog breeds I would one day like to own', LOL
-
The wording still leaves it open for interpretation, Keith. Does it mean that the dogs are somehow getting beyond their boundary fence when they are biting, striking, or jumping at the fence, or does it mean that these actions are not permissible when directed at a person or animal which is beyond their boundary fence?

As far as I am aware the only symptom at the moment is raised lymph nodes, but then when I got the phone call his owner was very upset I am hoping he will have a few months, as I am on the other side of the state As far as I know his only other real problem is arthritis, he gets ear infections and hot spots often but they're not exactly life threatening. I would really like to do something to give his owner something to remember him by, I guess I should try to take some nice photos of him or something, as I believe he will be cremated and his ashes either kept or scattered when he goes. I don't like my chances of getting his diet changed, he has been living on supermarket food his whole life I will give it a go, though, and will pass on the names of the medications, too. Thanks again, folks.

Haha no worries - I am just far more of a visual person, I can find pretty much anything if I have seen it on a map, or had the map in front of me while instructions are given, but if all I have to rely on are verbal instructions (or in this case text), I am next to useless Getting excited about this LOL, will have to give the malinut a wash on sunday, I wish I could run him around to get rid of energy first but he turns into a slobbering mess pretty quickly and still has mountains of energy to burn, doh! So we'll just have to rock up all excitipated and hope he will behave...

Cool - thanks Huski

Would anyone who knows where we're going be kind enough to whack a big red X on this and repost it please? :P

I have a number of collars for the malinut but they're all black and he's sort of a fawny/red colour. The one I leave on him most of the time is a thin nylon slip collar, that hides relatively well in his coat, or I can leave a fursaver on him. He should be OK without a collar though, but I'll show you what I have on the day, Rocco, and you can decide which you prefer edit: How did all those posts pop up without me seeing LOL Huga we better keep your Harry and the malinut apart... they'll both want each others toys ROFL Can I ask how this is going to be done? Will the dogs be out one at a time? If so the malinut should be fine, but if everyone will be standing around with their dogs he is just going to want to jump all over everyone and will be completely useless >_<

I just went and read the linked article (I hadn't looked at it last night) and the first sentence says: *sigh* Impending hornet's nest...
