As far as I know the Jack russel terrier is superior in that department, but who would have thought a golden retriever

I am just curious as to a newspaper ad I seen in the paper over the weekend advertising rednose x staghound puppies. I did a little research, and concluded that a red nose was another name for a pitbull? Is this correct? How long have pitbulls been outlawed for???

Does Anyone Else Have A Dog With Ibd?
cavvysavvy replied to ibon's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Good morning, <y dog has had IBD in the past but I have him successfully under control now and have not had a flare up in over a year. I started with an elimination diet of chicken and rice, and gradually added a vegie every fortnight or so. He did well on this. I have also used Royal Canin sensitivity control. These days he has a ciuple of chicken necks every day and black hawk holistic which agrees with him really well. I think the key is to not change the diet at all and find what agrees with him and feed that only every day without varying it at all and changing things. Good luck -
RIP Kelly I am so sorry for your loss :D

sounds like a JRT tendancy! My cav used to do it to his toys as a pup, but he grew out of it!

Same here, but I seem to have excessive tear stains, and was wondering if I could take it back to once a day, have emailed Robin Stanley to confirm this first though....

I use Tacrolimus for Benson who has sever dry eye. In his case, it has not really improved his numbers for the dry eye,and the count comes in very low, but in his case,it doesn't seem to bother him. He seems to cope with the low count. The only drawback is that it is frightfully expensive, but his eye, given his age, and according to the eye specialistist healthy. Yeah Ill agree with the tear count as my dog had better tear readings with the optimmune but it did not agree with him. Another positive thing is that it is much cheaper than the optimmune as well. Do you use it once or twice a day?

Good morning, I was wondering if anybody else has a dog that has been prescribed tacrolimus for dry eye? If so How do you find it and how many times per day do you use it? Thanks

You can begin the change over now, just make it gradual for the first week to avoid any upset tummys
