This topic has probably been done before but as Ive come across many unusual and absolutely wonderful names on here I was wondering how everyone's pets got their names?Also include breed if you want Ill kick it off as Im fairly new on here so can also introduce my clan: HoneyChild - Shih tzu/heart dog - I loved Nicole Richie's shih tzu HoneyChild so stole the name lol not very orginal! Sir Winston McCall Sausage Pants Bratwurst the Third - Daxi cross - I decided being a daxi he needed a regal type sounding name hence the "sir" and "the third", winston mccall is a singer of one of my favourite bands, the sausage and bratwurst parts are obvious Rockstar - Shih tzu cross - I'd watched all the Rocky movies the weekend he was born and since he was a little star I added that to the end Pablo - Chihuahua - As soon as I saw him he reminded me of a Mexican pool cleaner/cabana boy lol Murfie - Devon Rex - I knew she was going to be a handful (being a very playful breed) so thought of Murphy's Law "Anything that can go wrong will" and she's certainly lived up to her name! Deagon - Devon Rex - He was given to me by the breeder as he had a big scar on his tummy (not sure why but you cant see it now) and one of my favourite Motocross riders Brian Deegan has a scar on his stomach so I thought it fit! So there you go, there's my family now I want to hear about yours!

Im not a small dog person myself (much the the contrary proof Im actually a MASSIVE shep fan) but these guys just kinda entered my life in random ways and all mean so much to me Thanks TLC, yes the kitties are Devons. I brought Murfie from a breeder 2 years ago and she kept hassling me to buy another so Murf would have a friend...anywho she emailed me one day saying she was giving away Murfie's nephew cos he had a scar so couldnt be shown so I got him for free! You cant even see the scar though!

OMG thats so cute...i love how white under and around his nose is I could just kiss him all up!!! Ive got 4 dogs, 2 of the boys couldnt care less what im doing, Honey ONLY wants to sit on my lap/laptop/magazine when im busy doing something (like going on DOL) and Pablo generally wants to play...then sleep....then play some more!

I rented with 3 dogs and 2 cats and simply offered "doggy damage bond". I offered to add and extra couple of hundred to my bond to cover any damages the pets my cause, they said in my case it wasnt neccessary but Ive known friends that have paid dog bond

The Chi show was good, there were far too many cute ones there though! Pablo's dad, brother and sister were there but me being the idiot I am somehow forgot my camera I met the breeders who were quite nice. They said Pablo isnt desexed and that I should consider showing and studding him Poochmad he's a Chi lol I will try and take some better pics of him, the others are so small as I uploaded them from my phone

Im going to my first dog show in years today and Im a bit excited! My parents used to show Cairn Terriers and I always loved the shows as a kid The purpose of going today is to meet (newly aquired for those that dont know) 6 month old Pablo's breeder and find out all about him! Fairly boring post but im excited lol

I hate all the stupid names pet shops and BYB make up to make the dog sound more attractive! A very SILLY friend of mine bought a so called Cavoodle. I tried for months to tell her to either buy a poodle or a cav but to no avail. So she paid around $600 for this cross breed (no offence to crosses as I have 3 - Pablo is my only pure). She kept calling him a Cavoodle but ive finally trained her to call him what he really is....a cross rant complete

Ive had a few of various types and Ive found that only the rings and the bone type shape ones last. The ones like the octopus etc are too full of stuffing so fall apart waaaay too easy - i tried sewing them up a few times to no avail. One of my boys had a big ring for over a year before it started getting a tiny hole, then lasted about 6 months longer

Oh my god that pic is adorable!!! Pablo was so sweet this morn, he was trying to play with my daxi cross, trying to pass him his squeaky toy...how are you meant to get ready for work when they're being so cute!?!?! Are you after a boy or girl pup? Do you show?

All it says on his vaacination card is "silva cloud" followed by "buffy". I want to contact the breeders via email (or even on here) but I cant find an email or website, only dogs they've bred or pups for sale...any siggestions? I want to put more pics up soon...just have to locate my camera! I have 3 other dogs, one is a chubby daxi cross called Winston and Pablo just adores him, he's like his shadow seriously! Ill have to try and get a pic of him immitating winston My friend is "Disorder" who owns Snot, I'll have to get her to take some good pics too cos she's awesome

Im glad you guys liked the poem, it makes me smile everytime i read it. I want to print it out and get it framed but I dont know how well it would print out

Here is an email I received which really summed up my life and brightened my day - I hope it makes you guys feel the same (there are some gorgeous pics that came with it but its too hard to upload them!) If I Didn't Have a Dog or a Cat... I could walk around the yard barefoot in safety. My house could be carpeted instead of tiled and laminated. All flat surfaces, clothing, furniture, and cars would be free of hair. When the doorbell rings, it wouldn't sound like a kennel. When the doorbell rings, I could get to the door without wading through fuzzy bodies who beat me there. I could sit on the couch and my bed the way I wanted, without taking into consideration how much space several fur bodies would need to get comfortable. I would have money and no guilt to go on a real vacation. I would not be on a first-name basis with 6 veterinarians, as I put their yet unborn grandkids through college. The most used words in my vocabulary would not be: out, sit, down, come, no, stay, and leave him/her/it ALONE. My house would not be cordoned off into zones with baby gates or barriers. I would not talk 'baby talk'. 'Eat your din-din'. 'Yummy yummy for the tummy'. My house would not look like a day care center, with toys everywhere. My pockets would not contain things like poop bags, treats and an extra leash.I would no longer have to spell the words B-A-L-L, F-R-I-S-B-E-E, W-A-L-K, T-R-E-A-T, B-I-K-E, G-O, R-I-D-E. I would not have as many leaves (or pine needles) INSIDE my house as outside. I would not look strangely at people who think having ONE dog/cat ties them down too much. I'd look forward to spring and the rainy season instead of dreading 'mud' season. I would not have to answer the question 'Why do you have so many animals' from people who will never have the joy in their lives of knowing they are loved unconditionally by something as close to an angel as they will ever get. How EMPTY my life would be!!!
