Merlin has a chicken neck in the morning and raw meat with grated vegies each night. He also has kibble Science Diet dry food to nibble on during the day. We also give him lamb or beef bones on the weekends when we can supervise him eating them

I agree the titles could be changed to make them a little more palatable, I had just been quoting the paper headlines whenever I posted in that part of the forum so assumed that if you could see them as headlines that they would be ok I will make a conscious effort next time I post anything to check the title of the thread Generally I believe that the more people talk about cruelty the more people are outraged, eventually this must get through to the people who make our laws or enforce them. I also think that if people are more aware of this going on, more people might dob someone in they suspect is hurting or abusing an animal

Ferreting most days just not in that area We are in Gidgegannup We definitely don't put baits down and I am fairly sure the neighbours don't either (I would check first). I wouldn't want a bunny to die from poisoning plus there is the risk the dogs would get it and we are too big a softies to do it ourselves (plus wouldn't be confident doing it quickly enough for a humane death) We also have plague proportion kangaroos for the same reason but at least they don't dig holes that can potentially break my horses' legs when they are playing in the paddock It isn't a good season for feed for my ponies but the rabbits and kangaroos certainly appreciate the pasture we put in this year Would love to come see how it is all done Not sure how I would go, being a bit squeamish but have found this whole thread interesting, had never heard of "going ferreting" before

Pasquale Italiano, of Midland, was charged with one count of maliciously beating an animal after police found the bloodied and severely distressed dog in his backyard last year. Police were called to Italiano's house in the early hours of November 11. His wife took officers to the backyard where they found the male doberman bleeding from its ears, eyes, mouth and nose, the RSPCA says. The dog, known as Slade, was also severely distressed and after receiving permission from Italiano's wife, the dog was euthanased. Later that day, an RSPCA inspector attending the premises allegedly found a claw hammer, covered in blood, in the 39-year-old man's shed. A chair was also allegedly found covered with blood. A post-mortem examination conducted by Murdoch University revealed the dog had sustained multiple skull fractures before being put down. The man is due to appear in Midland Magistrates Court today. pond scum

Nothing good in my opinion will ever come out of puppy farming, and so far as being at the "good end" there is no good end to puppy "FARMING" IMO At least Hinch is trying to educate people about the situation
