Front attach harness and training Headcollar/halti don't tend to fit the Bull Terrier shape face. Get a copy of the book "When Pigs Fly - Training Success With Impossible Dogs" by Jane Killion IMO the the best training book for Bull Terriers and other stubborn breeds Pele, my 6.5 yo Bull Terrier wears a martingale collar and I never reward any pulling by letting her move forward when she's pulling. And yes, Bull Terriers can earn obedience titles :D

Not to worry - there's always next time... and the time after that... and then once more!! I think we all agreed we'd be back. Most dogs did either 1 or 2 runs. I think Sammy did an extra, and may have needed 5 or 10 more!! Some of us started at 150m for the first run - a warm up... but those rotten Salukis just turned around at the end and coming romping back to mum!! ;) In fact most dogs seemed to have a decent recall... Yogi would have loved it :D You've got to come next time. Pele is a girl of many talents besides supervising the BBQ at DOL meets Saturday was a mock agility trial, next weekend an obedience trial, she also does tracking as well as being a show girl. Now she's a racing dog

Thanks... but I quite adored your Bloodhound and think the name Earl just suits him to a tee!! I love Kelpies too - they are intelligent in a vastly different way to the hounds. Sonia I love Earl and all that loose skin He did very well today and put those Salukis to shame

I will bring him along but don't think the lure coursing would be his thing - although he would look pretty funny doing it I'd love to bring Pele one day. Not sure if she would chase it, but her and Earl could look funny together We've got a Mock Agility trial tomorrow, then busy with obedience trials and shows over the next few weeks, so don't want to risk injuries. Can't wait to hear how it goes

Pele and I are planning on going to Para too Maybe the next beach walk.

Maybe put in a report about the drunken man in case he remembers and reports it, so it's already been noted. Then he could probably be sued for damages to the dog owner

Don't know about us. Pele had surgery today to remove a lump on her face by her eye and has 4 stitches She's ok, just very clingy atm and needing cuddles. Will see how she is.

CHAMPION Canine Seat Belt System I've just ordered one for Pele. I'll let you know what I think when I get it I like it because there are no plastic clips bearing weight, padding on the front and wider straps. I'm really interested in these belts but am a little worried about ordering after seeing a post on a different forum about the poor customer service by the company that makes and sells them.
