  2. Aaaawwww poor Nandi Hope she's feeling better soon. By now she's probably jumping around and your trying to keep her quiet It's amazing how quickly they bounce back.
  3. OMG I hope they are both OK.
  4. Great stories There sure are some idiots out there We need a trophy The "Steaming Dog Turd" award Any other ideas for the trophy name?
  5. After Pele had a snooze we went for a walk along the lake. She found a squeaky hot dog at the water's edge and was pretty pleased with herself :D It wasn't as tasty as the sausages she wasn't allowed to have at the beach tho'
  6. Ouch Pele came home and put herself to bed
  7. Not this time. Pele will hopefully be earning herself a roast chicken at SAODC's obedience trial, plus I'm working at the trial.
  8. Or possibly scarfing something besides possum poo at agility
  9. I think that it should be compulsory reading for all dog owners to read Suzanne Clothier's article He Just Wants To Say Hi Not all dog's like or appreciate other dog's in their face, especially if they are on lead and some owners just do not get it, so the poor reactive dog gets the blame I can sympathize with Zug Zug as no one thinks that the cute poodle is reactive and take no notice of warnings I have the opposite with Pele, who is fine with all dogs, very tolerant and no problem, but because she is a Bull Terrier people automatically take a wide berth.
  10. Pele will be the "poor, starving" Bull Terrier trying to cadge treats 'cos she's not allowed to have any at the moment ;)
  11. This might put them off So You Want to Breed Your Bitch - A Consideration for the Would Be Casual Breeder
  12. Pele is gonna be pissed that she can't have any treats ;) She's been reeeeaally, reeeeaally sick (vomitting blood, trip to Emergency Vet and spent 3 days on a drip) and is on boring, bland food Vets can't say what caused it but I suspect she ate more than possum poo at agility training last week
  13. Yes please. I bags first cuddles with Sinnika Better get in quick - you know that Earl just loves a fluffy Lappie drool towel - soggy lappie - yum Eeeeeuuuww!!!! ;)
  14. Yes please. I bags first cuddles with Sinnika
  15. I agree. Please distract her, but don't make a big deal of it or she may learn that it gets attention. Tail chasing can become an Obsessive Compulsive Disorder ;)
  16. Bugga, pity it's not Adelaide Pele needs to help pay off her vet bill
  17. OMG!! How awful for you :D Sending positive thoughts your way for a speedy recovery for Mia. I know how you feel as Pele spent 3 days at the Vet Hospital on a drip and came home on Saturday. She started to vomit around 2am Thursday and then was vomitting blood We don't know the cause, but assume that she may have eaten something she found on the ground at agility training besides possum poo. She's starting to come good now. Hope Mia is just as lucky. to you.
  18. She's gorgeous, Ker We won't be there to give her cuddles :D Pele and I have our club's obedience trial. Pele has been very sick She started to vomit about 2am on Thursday. I rang the emergency vet around 4am when I noticed blood and took her in. They ran lots of tests - blood, x-rays etc. She spent 3 days in hospital on a drip - fluids, antibiotics, anti-nausea, pain - and came home yesterday afternoon, with a Fentanyl pain patch to be removed next Tuesday. The vets don't know what caused it, they are calling it a Gastric Upset and say that the vomitting may have cause a broken blood vessel. I'm wondering if she ate something at agility training other than possum poo, but will never know. It's been really scary and I've felt so helpless. I was worried that I could lose her She's still not eating and turns her nose up at roast chicken, so she's a very sick little girl :p
  19. Good on her I reckon I was at the beach with Jessie, my previous Bull Terrier years ago. A guy comes down with his kelpie and plonks his gear down not far from us. His dog poops on the beach while he watches it. Owner does nothing, then they both jog off. I was fuming. I told Jessie to "stay" while I went over and picked up the poo. I was going to leave it beside his sports bag but the "Devil" took over and I placed inside his bag I raced back to Jessie and decided that it was time to "Get out of Dodge" quickly Would have loved to see his face when he went to his bag I hope he learned his lesson
