2 Part Question,i Need To Vent So Badly Lol
Bully replied to The 3 Musketeers's topic in General Dog Discussion
I was at the beach with Jessie, my previous Bull Terrier years ago. A guy comes down with his kelpie and plonks his gear down not far from us. His dog poops on the beach while he watches it. Owner does nothing, then they both jog off. I was fuming I told Jessie to "stay" while I went over and picked up the poo. I was going to leave it beside his sports bag but the "Devil" took over and I placed inside his bag I raced back to Jessie and decided that it was time to "Get out of Dodge" quickly Would have loved to see his face when he went to his bag I hope he learned his lesson -

Leaving Foster Dog Inside Alone For The First Time
Bully replied to Sam the man's topic in General Dog Discussion
I'm probably too late in replying as you are most likely out. Ignore Charlie for about 15 minutes before you leave and don't make a fuss of him when you leave. When you come home don't make a big fuss of him. Acknowledge him, go get changed or do something for a few minutes then interact with him. That way leaving him and returning is no big deal. Leave him with a stuffed Kong toy or a bone. By the time he's finished that he'll probably sleep I used to give Jessie (now at the "Bridge") a stuffed Kong or soft drink bottle when we'd go out. It would be sitting on the kitchen bench. Jessie would lie in the kitchen and couldn't get us out the door quick enough -
Crates are great I would never not crate train now. Pele loves her crate. At a show or obedience trial I have to lure her out with kabana

I see plenty of German Shepherd dog owners who say they've got a German sheperd or shepard and lots of chiwawa owners too so it's not just SBT breeders who cant spell the name of their breed. When I was trial secretary for my obedience club I received an entry for a "Boarder Collie" When people ask what breed Pele (Bull Terrier) is I usually say "English Bull Terrier" and then inform them that the correct breed name is Bull Terrier, after they look confused or ask me what she's crossed with. They seem to think that "bull terrier" is a generic name that covers all the bull breeds.

Dogs can't digest the celulose in vegetables. In the wild they would get their vegetable content partially digested from the stomachs of their prey. Pulping the veggies breaks down the celulose

Pele barked earlier when she heard fireworks. We are watching "Master & Commander" with Russell Crowe. Lots of cannons going off, just turned up the volume, turned over to the Sydney fireworks then back to movie. No problem
