Some gorgeous oldies there! They are all so serene looking, beautiful!

If we hadn't already picked out her registered name I would have said to call her Daisy Ninja, I think it's really cute, especially when I remember how she brutally killed that little daisy. Maybe you could call her 'Daisy Ninja' at home instead!?!?!?!?! Love that name! I'd better start running now!

Yay! About time you fessed up. It was so hard keeping mum about it lol! She is such a little cutie, as all three pups are. I'm really looking forward to being Auntie to this little girl. Maybe one day I'll get a little seal girl of my own, just like this one -

Another Dog That Needs Rehoming......
iggy mum replied to iggy mum's topic in Dog Rescue (General Rescue Discussion)
Hi Danny's Darling, good to hear from you. I will ask my new neighbour tomorrow how long it's actually been since she was in season and see if a vet visit could help. Thanks for your offer of assistance, I'll let you know what happens. My thoughts too. Hope she doesn't spend her days and nights like that. Thanks for caring, but Sally isn't chained up very much at all. Today, apparently, she has been inside my neighbours house in front of the fire. She was only put on the chain that day so she could be contained long enough that I could get the photos of her. As I said, she is very timid, especially with strangers, so putting her on lead/chain was the only way I could get close enough to photograph her. But she did eventually let me pat her and she even gave my hand a few licks in the end. As I said, she is a sweet and gentle girl. -
I am moving house over the next few days and last week when I met my soon to be new neighbour, he told me that a few months ago he was asked by an acquaintance to provide temp care for a dog for a couple of weeks. He stupidly said yes and now the owner doesn't want the dog back. He is unable and/or unwilling to keep the dog any longer - he has apparently had her now for a few months hoping to find her a home but with no luck. He is now considering sending Sally to the pound. I have asked him to wait a little while before doing this so I could ask the wonderful people on DOL if anyone can help her, but I'm not sure how long he would be willing to wait. As said above, her name is Sally, and that is almost all the information the neighbour has about her. My neighbour thinks she is some sort of cattle/working dog mix but is not sure. He also thinks she may be anywhere between two to five years old, but it's just a guess. I personally doubt if she is any older than that, but I'm just guessing too. He believes that she is NOT spayed, vaccinated nor micro-chipped but doesn't know for sure. Unfortunately she was in season recently and a neighbourhood dog jumped his front fence and he thinks the dog [a Labrador/Golden Retriever type] had his way with Sally, so there is a possibility that she may be pregnant. She is apparently good with other dogs but we don't know what she is like with cats or other pets/animals. She is generally very timid with people but can be very affectionate once she trusts/is comfortable with you. I'm hoping that a rescue group here may be able to take her or tell me what else I could do to enhance her rescue options. I've taken a few photos of her to give a better idea of her type and size. Again, I really hope someone can help her, she is too sweet to be taken to the pound. I'm really hoping someone can help her! Pleeeeeeaaaaase!

Jack Russell Boy Needs A New Home...

Great news JRT, I needed to hear that. Hope Macca continues to do well and finds his forever home soon. Thanks for saving him! :) -
My thoughts exactly! I love bull breeds, have had them myself in the past, but am also aware that they are probably the biggest concern for me in regard to possible attacks on other dogs and IMO that isn't because of the breed but because of the dead beat owners. I too am sick of all the "blame game" that goes on in some of these threads. Well said OSS, I think most bully breed dogs are to die for, the biggest sooks ever but as with any breed, big and small alike, there are good and bad and trained and untrained individuals. I think it would be nice to see if new/first time bully breed owners were required to go to some form of induction/training so they have a clearer understanding of the needs of their chosen breed. And I only specify bully breeds in this last sentence because they have become so popular these days. It would be great to see this happen with all breeds really.

I thought the Italian Greyhound one was very good too!

Jack Russell Boy Needs A New Home...

I want to thank you Rascalmyshadow for taking the time to find out about Bobbie's health and especially for doing the right thing for him, regardless of how we feel ourselves. It's such a hard decision to make and as much as I wish it hadn't happened, I know that it was the kindest thing for him. I want to hug you for making his last couple of weeks a happy time and I'm sure at long last he knew he was cared for and loved. I feel so bad that I have put you through this, I was certainly hoping Bobbie would've been well enough to give you a lot longer time with him. My wish is that you don't let his passing stop you from taking in some more needies in the future as you have a wonderful home, an extremely kind heart, and it would be a real shame if you stopped this altogether. Again, I'm so terribly sorry to have been the instigator to your current pain but as you know, in rescue unfortunately this happens too often. My heart goes out to you. -

Just wanting to know how these two boys are doing in their new homes/foster care? Rascalmyshadow - how is little Bobbie going with you now? I hope he has settled in really well with your other furkids and is enjoying life to its fullest! And JRT Rescue - how is Macca doing in foster care? Has he been advertised as available for adoption yet? Any new photos of either of these boys available???? -
