  1. Took me a while to twig lol.... Wasn't till I enlarged the pic that I could see what was going on, then.......... SPLUTTER....... :D
  2. Like this?? http://waggle.com.au/petbuckle-b18/kwik-connect-tether-p272 It is supposed to connect to the LATCH bar. I think that is what you are describing? Yeah, that looks almost right. Does the tether hook attach to the latch bar and if so how does the other end of the tether attach to the dog's harness? Doesn't look like any type of catch is on the other end of the tether.... Okay, it's a little hard to explain but the thing at the bottom of the part that looks like a seatbelt catch is the part that attaches to the bar. Rather than have a clip that pushes into the top of it (which it looks like it does) the catch is one whole piece. When you press it against the bar the catch at the bottom springs back and attaches. To release it you press down on the red part at the top of the catch. The hook at the top of the tether is the part that clips to the dogs harness. You can use the loop bit with the ring at the end to attach to your seatbelt (loop it through and then the tether clips on to that) if you dont have a LATCH bar. Does that make sense at all?? Yes that does make sense!! Thanks heaps. It must just be that the picture wasn't all that clear on the Petbuckle website and I couldn't see that there was a clip attached to the other end of the tether. Thanks again everyone!!
  3. I understand completely and agree wholeheartedly. I don't know what I would do without my babies now. They are such good company, full of love and they are soooo entertaining with their individual antics. Glad to hear she is fitting in so well and that you both are so happy. :D ETA piccies PLEASE!!!!!
  4. Just wondering how things are going with your new little girl?

  6. Just checked my car and looked in the user manual. It seems that the anchor points are at the rear of the hatchback, right up close to the hatch door. The manual also says something about an ISOFIX bar........ Just went out again and looked between the rear seat bit and rear backrest and there are four sort of u-shaped thick/heavy bars right there [didn't know they were there hiding under the seat covers]. Would I be able to use the bars and not the tether bit at the rear of the hatch. If so, what sort of clip would be best? Perhaps just a short lead attached to the harness or is there a special clip/tether that would attach to both harness and bar? Hope I'm explaining what I mean properly lol.... ETA My car is an '06 Mazda 2 hatch.
  7. Thanks everyone, I'll go and have a look in the car now. The problem is, being the driver of the car, never really had the need to look much in the back of the car
  8. Sorry about what is probably a stupid question, but I don't know what 'car anchor points' are, and if I have them in my car, where are they located?
  9. Not sure if anyone has seen those laundry hampers that pop open (I use them for camping). The look just like the solid part of the chute and have the sprung wire inside. I was thinking to get one of those from the cheap shops and attach a chute on the end. I would assume Spotlight sells some kind of material similar to that of the actual chutes. similar to this Great Idea.I purchased an Oztrail Storage Cell yesterday on special for $9.95-Norm $24.95 to try and make a chute. Not sure what to use for the material part yet? It's heavy duty reinforced vinyl.60cm long and about 50cm across.Just have to see if my shepherd can fit her rear end through it yet That's a good idea. Where did you get it on sale at? I think it's just a locally owned Camping store-Getaway Camping is the name In Wollongong. I could always post one off to you if you can't get hold of something similar although I guess by the time you add postage it won't be too much cheaper than norm price If you can find a shop that sells Oztrail stuff they should have them Dimmeys have a similar thing, a collapsible laundry hamper [orange colour] looks about the same size, for either $5.99 or $6.99
  10. Ooooohhh!! Thanks for ordering another lot - could I request an order of 5 x medium 5 x small Thanks heaps!!!
  11. Glad to hear she is fine and seems to be immune to them now, how lucky is she! Interesting, never heard of using onion juice before for stings/bites. Wish I had known as I could've used this remedy when I got eaten alive by midges when living in Mackay. Green Ant Link
  12. Ditto, two dogs and two cats harassig me at 6.00pm EDST on the dot. Absolutely no chance of forgetting to feed them
  13. I will try to be there, just for the fun, not for the photography lol!! Can't take a decent photo to save myself....
  14. Another duplicate post in error, damn computers tricking me lol!!!
  15. I have an iggy and just over two weeks ago I adopted a little minpin X chi girl from Blacktown Pound. She is 20 months old and I had no clue if she would take to my iggy or my two cats. Nor did I have any idea of what training, if any, she had. It turns out that in the two weeks I've had her, she is now potty trained and is going on demand [no accidents after the first few days], she has learnt sit, off, out, wait [for dinner or treats], no, good girl, come but we are still having a little trouble with stay and drop. Hopefully this will come together soon. She is now not chasing/growling at the cats, not barking at all, but may still have a cry/little bark if left alone for a short time, and we'll be working on that. She and my iggy have become great friends, still not playing much but they do curl up to sleep together, only clashes are with bones but that is getting better too. So as far as I'm concerned my little rescue girl has been a complete success and a total delight. I can't believe that not one person showed any interest in her at all whilst she was in the pound as she is such an affectionate and placid girl just wanting to please All I can say is thank Dog I saved her. Anyway, your new doggie sound just perfect for you and I'm sure you are doing the right thing by adopting him. Piccies please as soon as you bring him home. Congratulations and good luck.
  16. Ooooohhhh, she can deliver easter eggs to my place anytime!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. So glad she is doing okay. Probably needn't worry too much now as I think serious problems occur to 'the susceptible' people/animals very quickly after the bite/sting. Let us know how she is doing tomorrow!!
  18. I had no clue that vets would euthanase in the home either. When the time comes, and not for a goodly while yet I hope, I will be doing the same. My thoughts are with you both rubyred and Dova.
