I'd have to nominate an Italian Greyhound, seems to fit the bill all round. Or a Miniature Pinscher.

How To Keep Birds Away From His Food!
iggy mum replied to kitkatswing's topic in General Dog Discussion
You could try putting a tray/container of bird seed around the other side of the house from the dogs food. Hopefully the birds will go there to eat and leave the kibble alone. -
Great pics, a real little mischief maker

Gorgeous packs everyone. Ruthless, I just had a good giggle at your siggies because I just noticed the faded 'no' before angels' name. Very cute!!

Do you rent or own? Do you want it fitted into a solid/security screen door or will it go into a sliding glass/screen door? Do you want a doggy door that is permanently fitted or one that can be taken and used in anywhere? There a number of options, you need to decide which type is best for you.

What Silly Things Is Your Dog/dogs Scared Of?
iggy mum replied to mantis's topic in General Dog Discussion
My Min Pin cross isn't worried about big trucks zooming past, thunder, loud noises etc, but let the street sweeper go past and she has tail down, head down, and hides in her bed. -
If MadWoofter doesn't buy it, I would love to buy it for my current foster greyhound.

Have a look at the products from this seller on eBay. May find something there. My link

I've got one too, they're excellent. Don't know how I survived without it. And, I brought it with me when I moved. Definitely worth looking into.

Mmmmm. my foster, to my knowledge/eye doesn't show those signs, he doesn't lick his bum much, he doesn't scoot that I've seen, and about the fishy smell, I've got a bad sense of smell so I can't really tell. Why I asked is that he has, for want of a better explanation, a real sticky outy bottom, excessively so IMO, so was just wondering if it may have been a problem. He is an 11yo iggy so maybe due to lack of hair it may seem worse that it is.

Just done a search but can't find any posts that describe how you can tell if your dog has an anal gland problem. Are there specific signs?

That is interesting! I never saw myself as the owner of a large breed until Tielle the greyhound came along...now I want to try more. I guess if you've never owned a small breed, the unfamilar is always less appealing. Also, they are relatively easily damaged so not ideal for dog parks these days. That is a bit of a con in many people's eyes. Maybe it's a bit like the people in my TAFE class who say "I hate cats" - none of them have ever owned a cat so they don't know what a special experience that can be - and not all that different from dog ownership despite the "cats have slaves" thing. Mmmm, interesting. I'm currently fostering an iggy and a greyhound. The grey is adorable. Can give you more info if you may be interested!!

Favourite: Iggies of course!! Followed by all sighthounds, CKCS, Min Pins, and all other breeds lol. Least Favourite: Dogs that are aggressive or dogs that never stop barking.
