Yeah, I do remember I also remember parking up in the car park one morning & seeing the quarantine tape that had been put around one of the kennel blocks & just feeling sick....I didn't want to go through the gates that morning That smell is something you recognise in an instant......and then that fear..."dammit....i touched that dog 3 days ago....did I disinfect my hands & shoes properly afterwards??? Where else did I go that day??? who else do I need to check on???"..... I wasnt aware it had a smell.. What does it smell like? or is it just the infected dog that smells? The faeces passed by parvo dogs has a smell you will never forget, it is an overpowering metallic bloody stench. Always good to know... Thanks for that

Awwww, poor Rusty! What a polite boy to walk away . Saxon has woken himself up with his farts a couple of times. He turns around and looks at me in disgust as if it was me!! My Hubby LOVES having 2 dogs in the house cause he can blame his farts on them ;)

It is quite easy to work with... You will need to put something heavier on the outside to give it a bit of substance... You wouldnt need a singlet underneath it if you are only putting oil on his back and rump. Ill try finish bells coat tonight or take a photo of where im up to so you can see what design I use... It may be completly the opposite to what your thinking. It basically is a rug that lays on their back with a proper collar that they put their head through and a strap underneath that holds it in place. Confusing I know

Ok then maybe the people that have an issue and the ones that are defending the RSCPA ACT should PM each other or start another thread, beacuse people like me who dont have an opinion either way as I have had no dealings with the RSPCA just wanted to know any updates on the GSD puppy and things are getting a little out of control... If thats the way you are leaning to I recommend parashute material...if you dont know what it is remember in the 80's those sexy tracksuit pant and matching jackets everyone use to wear? It is kinda shiny, semi water proof and light weight... And it looked OH SO SEXY in the 80's

It sounds nice but in this instance I disagree. A number of aspects of RSPCA ACT's operations are matters of fact, not opinion. If you have genuine criticisms to make of an organisation, you do your cause no favours by putting up additional accusations that have no basis in fact. I might put forward an opinion that the moon is made of cream cheese but I'd be wrong, and I'd expect that others might tell me so. I completly get what your saying, BUT.. (yes there is always a but ) People are aloud to believe what THEY want and are aloud to express there view...One person thinks RSPCA ACT are bad others think they are good and everyone should have the right to say what they think.....I just think that everyone got abit off topic and forgot what the thread was about.. Its about a GSD puppy that got stolen by someone and that is against the law regardless of where it got taken from.. I highly doubt that the RSPCA will do anything to this puppy if they get him back becasue of all the publicity that they have recieved..(yet again my opinion only)... A good debate is healthy for the soul. But its about a STOLEN PUPPY not what the RSPCA do or dont do... FYI... I think the moon is made up of fluffy marshmellow....

If I am to make it... (Depending on how Bellas turns out and if FTPO wants me to) I was thinking of something a long the same lines as the material used for rain jackets then a thin polar fleece on the outside, so that when he gets better the coat can still be used if he likes it...(my coats are fully reversable) If you use a heavier material on the outside some thing like parachuting material might be suitable for the inside . It has a semi resistance to water/ oil and if it does soak it up it wont be able to get thru the thicker outer material...

Im definatley safe, aswell as my floors, benches, lounges and basically everything on my property... I have a Great Dane so lots of slobber and im willing to share if anyone wants any

I was going to suggest Bug or Pops as a name!!! Dont know why but they were the 1st ones that came to me when I 1st saw his photo.

So a bit of an update... I have called 2 behavourists.. One was a local one. I didnt really agree with what she was saying. She was reccomended by a few people that I know. She said that I needed to encourage Mollys acertivness and let her become the dominent dog...She did offer to come and do a home consult. The 2nd was who DOLers recommended Kathy ???? anyway, she wont come down to bunbury and will only do a phone consult. I was under the impression that she would want to see Molly in her home surrounding. Am I wrong in assuming this? Molly has settled down around other dogs and in public. We went on a SWAR (South west Animal Rescue) dog walk on Sunday with over 30 dogs and she didnt growl once.. Last time we were out in public around 10 dogs she was non stop growling... Feeding time is a lot more peaceful. Molly seems to eat most of her food now and Bella has learnt to come inside straight away and not even bother loking at Mollys food. I have also really started to use the "release" command when feeding. (they have to give me eye contact before they get food) Anyway, what would you fellow DOLers do about the behavourist?

Are both breeders legitamate??? Health check etc etc... How much do you want one of the Breeder 1's pups? Once you go to breeder 2 if your like me you WILL DEFINATLEY bring the pup home? Are you in a rush for the pup?

In the ACT where the puppy was? Treat them just like any other. We don't have BSL here, and we don't have anti-breed attitudes in the RSPCA. Newbie here!!! what do they do with them or alegedly do with them?

Its a pretty cool place...Unfortuntley I dont think we are "big" enough to have the expert services that we need.. In this case a behavourist....Maybe some DOLer out there can help

Ok kool, Does anyone know of someone that is in Bunbury... in the Southwest of WA or someone that will travel from perth (approx 2 hours)? I am willing to drive to perth, but I was under the impression the person will need to see the dogs in their home environment. Is that correct?
