I'm now going to get a puppy i have picked a breed that suits us aka family done all my research and found 2 lovely breeders. but now my kids want a name so they can tell everyone there getting a puppy and its called ________. ive never been a person to pick a name after seeing a animal lol kinda like my kids lol they had there names b4 i knew what they were. im getting a staffordshire bull terrier im hoping to get a male but then im not pertiular so im looking for girls and boy names lol i only have one boys name atm

dose anyone have a staffordshire bull terrier? im am looking into buying this type of dog but before i do i want to get all my info and facts 1st i have only ever owned German shepherds my now that i'll be on my own id like to get a smaller dog and have always loved staffy's. i have emailed a few breeders and looked on the net but havent found to much . are they ok with children? are they protective? are they pron to anything that other dogs may not be? is there a time of year you need to get them at? any other info would be great thankyou in advance

my dog was put down August last year 2 days before his 12th Birthday. unfortunately as much as we wanted to keep him he was very sick and getting old broke our hearts to see him the way he was and even more to lose him. Bear a Beautiful friendly lovable German Shepard had had arthritis for many years and had been treated every winter *that was his painful time* he had gone deaf and blind he couldnt walk very well his hips didnt work his legs couldnt hold him he slipped, when walking so we knew it was time. he was part of the family one of a kind loved everyone and altho his papers say prue breed he looked like he had a collie nose his ears never went up but it didnt matter from the moment we saw him we loved him. love at 1st sight. and even tho its been months the pain is still very much alive in us. my 4 year old daughter was so distrest with his passing that i wrote a letter from Bear to let her know that he was doing well and feeling great now that his pain was gone. anyway this is our very much loved Bear.
