Advice Needed (changing An Adult/adoptee Dogs Name)
oakeydoak1 replied to Kazhak's topic in General Dog Discussion
My first thought was to change it to Rusty. Having said that I was always told it was bad luck to change a name of an animal. I always thought it was cogwash, changed a name of a dog I had and it got hit by a car and died. Wont do it again just in case!!! -
Going well and a nice range in there.

No from me too.

Oh Rebane hugs to you. Very upsetting for you. Cavalblaze- sounds like you have one name sorted! Britt - glad she is getting back to her normal self. It does take a while for her body to adjust. 4 week check today for us, but I dont think they are going to fit on the scales!!!

Ridiculous Quote For Puppy Transportation Or Not?
oakeydoak1 replied to suziwong66's topic in General Dog Discussion
I have flown 2 pups from Brisbane to Sydney - always been able to lodge them myself. Just give Qantas a call, I have always found them very helpful. PS Im with AMS. You could easily have a pet on the plane with your pup that has never been vaccinated against anything and could be carrying something. They never check vaccination certificates etc. -
Thankyou, yes they are rather cute slugs. :D Daughter is at me to name them, I only hope that others share your opinion so that i can find suitable homes for them all. ;) People on my waiting list have cancelled, found pups elsewhere which you can't blame them it's been months/year of waiting. I would love to see one of the boys in a show home but regardless a happy stable home is most important. If i can't sell them i will just have to keep them all, :D Im sure they will sell. Early days. I have homes for all of mine apart from one. All the others had been named and I felt sorry for the one that was left so I named her Annie and it sooooooooooooo suits her. I dont want to let her go. She just looks at me with those stunnings eyes and I just melt. Fun household for you if you dont sell them!!

Don Burke Takes On The Pedigree Dog Industry
oakeydoak1 replied to warval dobe's topic in In The News
I met a paint stallion bred by Don Burke a few years back. You could not get near him without him trying to kill you. He had hardly been socialised, he had lived in a stable all his life and when he was put in a yard he went biserk he didnt know how to cope. It took months and months and months of rehabilitation to be able to handle him safely. You should have seen him when he first walked on grass! Almost sh*t himself (actually i think he literally did)! -
Very cute Poodlesrule. They look quite big for 3 weeks old. Are they? Mine will be three weeks on Sunday and they have started to use the paper to poo and wee too. Clever little munchkins.

She is probably smart enough to read the book so she better be on time!
