  3. My vet who does my AI does it. My vet only charges the cost of a consult $50
  4. I am also finding that my dogs are dropped their winter coat alot later this year, so one of mine did her winter coat/post whelp drop in one go I am sure!!! She looked naked!
  5. My emergency caesar for my BC bitch was $800 that was about 2 1/2 years ago though. They said that if I was to have an elective next time it would have been around $600 (but we have a very reasonable vet). Funny thing was though a couple of weeks later we had an emergency caesar for a cow that they had to come out for and they only charged $720!!
  6. Dito to the Border Collie breed, how terribly sad.
  7. I use Zip ties too. So easy and if you need to change size, position you can just cut it and put another one on!
  8. Have you got your eye on one for you yet Parkeyre?
  9. Gee Sway, how dare you take some time for your own litter! Ha! Anyone would think they are special

  13. Thanks Lils mum that is exactly what I thought, but she didnt believe me. Just wanted to make sure I hadnt missed anything!
  14. Hi All I was always under the impression and from memory of my breeders test, you were able to register 2 litters in 18 months per bitch. Now I probably wont breed that in 18 months but a breeder friend who breeds Golden Retrievers says it has changed to 1 time in 18 months? I didnt think this was the case and had not seen am amendment anywhere, so wondering if someone can shed some light for me! Many thanks!
  15. Loving the photos, they are so gorgeous. Mine are two and a half weeks going really well, this is my puppy pile photo.
  16. Poor mummy dog Ophnbark, she must be like a jersey cow!
  17. There huge Ophnbark, how much do they weigh?
  18. Hehe Persephone they were thriving already! Just had the sh*ts! At least the smell is now nice again!
  19. Vet gave us some Neo-Sulcin to clear it up, seems to have done the job. Have another appointment on Saturday for an immunisation for another dog so if not better can take them in then but all looking good for now! Thanks all.
  20. We havent had any rain her for a couple of weeks (before the pups were born). Definitely something I will keep an eye out for. Will ring the vet first thing in the morning.
  21. Cant say I have seen hookworm, yep mum was wormed whilst pregnant. Will keep an eye on them and ring first thing in the morning.
  22. Thanks BB that is what I thought, as long as they are not dehydrated and are feeding they should be ok until then shouldnt they?
  23. Hi All A couple of my 11 day old puppies seem to have some diarrhea, it is yellow and waterish. They are all eating fine and are putting on weight (minimum weight gain in 4 days is 100g) should I be getting them to the vet in the morning? Mum's milk looks a normal colour, there is no yuck discharge from her at all. I know my last litter had diarrhea around the same age but mum was on antibiotics. Just a little concerned, any advice would be greatly appreciated. They dont seem to be dehydrated, when pinched their skin seems to go back down relatively quickly.
