Congrats on the little boy Pom - very exciting

Hi Kated At 12 weeks your puppy is entering his fear period. Most probably this is what is causing him to freeze outside the gate. You need alot of reassurance and encouragment. What does he do if you pick him up and play with him a little outside the fence in your arms and then put him down?? Of course there is always the "imaginary monster" that might jump out of the bushes and scare him!! ;) The biting thing is normal - keep perservering. One day it will click to him that he is not allowed to do it. Feeding/crate - he may well be missing your other half but also he probably knows he is getting your attention so unless he is not well you just need to ignore him. A well puppy wont starve themselves. I just bought a new border (10 weeks) and she is not the biggest eater in the world but she is gaining weight and has a lot of energy and looks healthy so she is getting all she needs. What are you feeding him?

Me too Libertybrook - my Kizzie though is not large at all. I think she has put on a little weight but not a lot. I have not had her ultrasounded so it is a wait and see game for us. When my other bitch had her first litter she was so small we didnt think she was pregnant either and ended up having 8 puppies. So we will see

Just checked my combantrin packet can use it from 1 year old!!

Oh Missymoo how devastating!! What do you do about something like that. Is the Brittany likely to do it again??

Another hands up here for Great Barko. I only just put my 4 BC on it last week - I went away 2 days after they were put on it - my mum fed it to them whilst i was away and when I got back they were different dogs - they had gained weight - their coats were so shiney they almost glowed and they were full of energy without being "silly". If you have a produce store nearby it should stock it. Also it comes in 22kg bags so if there was a bigger town that you sometimes go to and buy it you would not have to go often as it would last your staffie for ages - and the best thing is the price. Very reasonable.

My hubby told me yesterday we can buy a new camera. We are expecting a litter of puppies in a month and I really need a good camera for that. Now just what to get!!

Just wondering if anyones bitches are starting to "show" or if there are any tell tale signs that you just KNOW your bitch is pregnant. I think Kizzie is getting a little bigger but that could also be the change in dog food I am giving her. As for tell tale signs - I think she may be sleeping a little more but that could be my imagination

Oh Jax he is so cute. Wish I could get good photos of Lucy - I hate my camera - it takes forever to take a shot and when it does it "misses the moment"

How about just getting some chicken mince and mixing a LITTLE bit in with the food to give it the taste. 8 chicken necks in total per day seems to be alot to me abnd is probably too rich for his belly. What sort of dog is it??

Yep Jax she is a tri. She is from Wottapud kennels - their first true chocolate tri and I am very privileged to own her. Will try and get more photos over the weekend.

Jax - ok trying to make the photo work. Unfortunately this is the best I have for now. Will try and get a front on photo her eyes are amazing

My vet also suggested Maxalon - she said you can use the human ones - for a border collie of 16 kilos she said one tablet.

We are back from picking up Lucy - she was SOOO well behaved on the 6 hour round car trip plus the flight. I only have photos on my phone at the moment and they are pretty pathetic - will take some on camera to post. Did not hear a wimper out of her all last night - even though we were in a strange motel - and now she is fast asleep in the laundry. Very exhausted but glad to be home. Post pics tomorrow
