  1. very cute, and love the shots. But from a public liability point of view, so amazed that they did not have better control of the horse with a bridle with a bit , rather than just a halter and lead, or riding hats for the kids - ponies can go off, esp with the noise of a party, even if they are bombproof. Glad all went well though

  3. yes, just heard it on he radio news, very sad update RIP Coco
  4. Poor Coco, hope she will be OK, and they catch this maniac
  5. what are you putting down - rats are very clever and you can't put down something like ratsak that they need to eat multiple does of before it acts as they are too smart for that, they will not keep coming back and eating at something unlike mice. Rats need a one feed kill like Talon. If you do get one killed, remove he body as soon as possible, as if the other rats see the body near the food, they will not go near it either. We live on a farm, so do have rat experience.
  6. thanks for sharing that, been looking for a halloween costume
  7. such a lovely story, makes a nice change from the stuff you normally see
  8. we have both wood chips and sugar cane mulch
  9. what a gorgeous squishy face, just beautiful
  10. another newbie, but glad to hear that you are feeling better, and what gorgeous little pups (and yes, an easy on the eye handler too), you are in my thoughts and best wishes for continued improvements along the long road
  11. nice and deceptively simple, just show how decluttering the image has so much more dramatic impact, just
  12. would not buy one from there, and do not buy any products myself from any shops where they do sell any pups or kittens, on principal. A good breeder would not be abandoning their hard work there, no matter what Goofy says, with no input into finding a good right home for them, and I also bet that he never heard about the issues. Also wondering about the repeat customers comment - were they repeat as they had taken care of te first one, and also the dogs he said that had been passed on to someone new from the previous owner who had bought it from the shop - sounds like those homing attempts went really well. Sorry, I am also another who thinks it is not right for puppies or kittens to be in the shops, end of story, no matter where they are from
  13. sounds like she is well on the way to getting something local, and at least not getting caught up in the scam now - hope she is successful, and that looking after this little one helps her, as has already been said, the love of a animal is such good therapy
  14. looks like a nice clean easy to navigate site, good job
  15. a bikkie balancing on top of the lens is always a good trick to get them to look right down the barrel of the lens
  16. off to check that paper, amazing that the paper accepted it, as I am sure if they had stopped and did the maths they would work that out too. Mind you I recall a few years ago, they had an add in the Sun for the scam "sheridan" sheets, that were nothing of the sort, and so many people at our work got stung by that, as we had got a flyer on the fax machine, and then the add in the paper, so thought the sun had checked it out - only to see the big full page add a few days later from Sheridan Australia advising it was nothing to do with them, they were not really Sheridan stuff, and it was all a con.
  17. uncooperative - no - mind of their own - yes. You just need to find their trigger - mine is either a feather toy, a bit of tinsel on a stick (some like the swishy sound that makes), and my own Persian will do anything for a rolled up ball of paper treat, you just need to work out what it is.
  18. the dog is OK, he is a lab, so figures about the eating anything bit, I know our lab used to eat whatever she could find too. Thanks for letting me know. The only thing that has me a bit worried is whether they have actually fed him anything besides peanuts, or if they thought that was funny, so will keep an eye on him. Cheers Linda
  19. just a query, as our wonderful neighbours dog got into our garden yet again, and left a calling card - a nice big crap, which was entirely full of undigested peanuts (peanuts halves by the looks) which look like they had just gone in one end and out the other - would that be at all bad for the dog, ie should we let the neighbours know in case there is any other reaction they need to look out for, or would that be it - ie the dog ate, and they have passed, so all is good now (not that I imagine they would take much notice of us anyway) cheers Linda
  20. lovely Bec. Just hope she is not an outdoor kitty that gets to roam free outdoors, but that her owners keep her nice and safe. Love that first one though
  21. with our horses, we have to know how to give needles, intravenous and subcutaneous, otherwise we would be up for horrendous charges just to do the annual tetanus / strangles needles vaccinations. They are not that hard to dop, my OH even has de-caslicked a mare, and believe me, that is not for the faint hearted
