You have captured a lively spirit in him. Millie-Moo: Aggie is beautiful! Gapvic: Great selfie, evokes in my mind a story of a war bride waiting for the return of her man. I honestly like your first w6 to your second, but that's just me Gila: Great photo! I'm not a diarist, but can understand your fear. MTD: Lovely shot of the ginger! Such a vivid red MrRedDog: that there is a lovely bunch of Dachsies! What's the collective noun for Dachshunds? (a sizzle of sausage dogs did spring to my mind, but probably not PC!) I also like your Bokeh paws, how cute! CrazyCresties: Your w4 shot is brilliant, your cat had me giggling! Louis' close up is divine. So handsome. Misteri: Nice landscape. Dwynwen: Nice water dragon! Well done on getting it unnoticed ;) Oh and as to why I get the window seat - I fly each week, sometimes 2-3 times a week, so that guarantees me good seats! It does get tedious after a while and I relish the days when I am in the office!! Kja: welcome back! I see your note on your w1 burger photo - don't you hate it when things don't taste as good as advertised?? Your w2 full moon is lovely. Your w3 photo is beautiful, what a lovely keepsake for your sister. Nice selfie! And Tilly looks like she's a pro at this beach business. Dogfan: Nice selfie for you too! I prefer your first one to the second. ButterNut: I love your droplets! Great idea in this crappy weather we've been having. I love your lantern shot too! Great use of light. 4. My week 5 shot. Very unimaginative, just a plant that I have growing on my windowsill at work. It flowered once, but hasn't even considered it again  05/52 - A little bit of green by KumaAkita, on Flickr Welcome Evolving! Great to see your crew here. And who can resist those little babies? They are seriously adorable. Annie - Gemma is beautiful, she appears to be so gentle and thoughtful in your photo.
  5. My week 5 photo: 05/52 by KumaAkita, on Flickr First sunny day after some miserable cold rainy weather... we hit the backyard with a bubble wand. This is sub-titled "blow the bubbles mum! blow the bubbles!!" I have some brilliant outtakes from today, but since I'm still using my iPhone they're not in focus... the iPhone does not handle speed very well  Thanks on all the lovely comments on my photos! I'm really enjoying this challenge and drawing inspiration from all of you. I'll be back to comment on everyone's week 5 photos soon.

Now, off to scout for my week 5 photo.
  12. Loving all the photos this week, amazing shots again. I'll come back and comment later... My week 4 photo: 04/52 by KumaAkita, on Flickr It's been hot here and Kuma has been strategically positioning himself under aircon vents and moving to a cooler patch of tiles when he's warmed up the ones beneath himself! It was a real struggle to get him this week, he wouldn't let me close and it was too hot to take him outside. I keep telling him, if he just got rid of a bit more of that coat he would be much happier! I'm not super happy with the shot, it was just taken on my iphone.
  13. Great shots Huga! I love the one of your boys on the piano, so cool.
  14. My week 4 shot: 04/52 - Up, up and away by KumaAkita, on Flickr I spend a fair bit of time on planes - travelling for work. Nothing exciting, just trips to Sydney and Melbourne... sometimes Brisbane. I'm living the highlife. Travel, especially work related travel, is not glamorous at all. Anyhoo, I snapped this shot from my window on the flight home from Melbourne last night using my iPhone. Nice clear shot, with a bit of help in Aperture to make it pop.
  15. Ok, I'm going to try and do some catch-up comments. I apologise if I miss anyone! AnnieK - Cody is beautiful, such lovely eyes. I love Ben catching a wave, he looks like he's having fun! Mr Red Dog - Cute little figurines! I like your use of shaddows Gapvic - fantastic shot of you and your horse. I don't actually mind that you've cut her ears off, it gives the impression that she's just a bit too big to fit in the shot. She looks very strong. I also love your family portrait, I agree that the first one is cuter. ButterNut - Nice cemetery shot. The sky looks rather foreboding. fattima - awesome wall! I like how you've captured it's continuity Gila - I love that photo. Looks like it could be a Ray Ban commercial. :D Misteri - Peaceful puppy! Neither look too pleased to be there  Beth - Lottie looks like she enjoys that grass, cute smile on her face. Very relaxed :) We've only had grass in our yard for 3 months and Kuma just loves to be stretched out on it in a warm spot. TLC - that's a great shot of Lacy and Mawson. She looks so petite next to the big fella! GregW - Great capture of Zoe, her eye is definitely on the prize :) Snook - Justice is adorable, and so accepting of him to let you dress him up! I love the colours you get in your photos.
  17. My week 3 photo - not super happy with it, but didn't have time to get anything else! This is how Kuma sits. He is such a lazy bugger, leans agains walls and splays his legs every which way. Doesn't look too comfy to me, but obviously he is happy with it :) 03/52 by KumaAkita, on Flickr Love the week 3 photos, I'll come back and comment individually later. I'm really enjoying seeing everyone's dogs, they all look so happy and healthy!
  18. My week 3 photo: 03/52 - New Growth by KumaAkita, on Flickr I'll come back and comment a bit later (probably tomorrow ;) ) But suffice it to say, there are some fabulous photos in this thread and I'm loving seeing everyone's ideas. It's really inspiring :)
  19. squeeeeee, my bag has been shipped!! Now, I just need to get the camera to go inside it
  20. It's a continuation of a theme they ran last year. There was a passat ad where the little kid was dressed up as Darth Vader and spent the day trying to make things do Darth Vaderly things (i.e. move glasses of water, etc) when the dad came home, He focussed his powers to lock the car - just as the dad hit the key... The dogs are barking the Darth Vader theme from Star Wars. ETA Linky: http://youtu.be/R55e-uHQna0 It's the Ad they ran at last years superbowl... the bark one is the preview to their 2012 ad. Doubtful we'll ever see it here.
  21. Wow. There are so many amazing photos in this thread! I'm mentally filing notes - so don't be surprised if I replicate some of these awesome photos throughout the year. Very clever bunch! Thanks for the nice comments on my photos :)
  22. MnDM - Great shot of Diva and her ball. You can see how much she loves it! Snook - I love the shot of Justice. I didn't comment in your other thread, but I like the processing on this one. It has a particular coastal feel to it. Pixie_meg - your week 2 shot is great! Adonys looking adoringly at his mumma. Mr Red Dog - Roxy is too cute! TLC - I agree with Snook, looks like Lacy is in the middle of telling you a great story! she's cute! Beth - Lovely photo of Lottie. I love the Aussie head tilt. SC - Ziva is looking lovely staring out the window. So fluffy! LMSW - Roscoe has brilliant eyes (and massive ears ) great capture. I also love Riddick's shot. Very serious indeed. Helen - Tilly looks amazing! She looks adorable sitting so primly in the first shot. The second shot looks like she's quietly grooving to herself. Week 3! MnDM - lovely shots of your crew. Looks like you're getting the hang of your new camera quite well! Monet looks so peaceful Pixie_meg - I love them all. If I were to choose, I'd go for the last one "sad wet dog" the eyes are so imploring and questioning why you were sooo mean. GregW - Zoe looks like such a happy girl. Ktig - the first one is my favourite, but they're both great shots. He looks like such a bundle of fun DogNerd - Tilly is so cute. I'm sure she's plotting something judging by the look on her face! SC - Ziva is so ladylike! So very cute. And thanks for the lovely comments on my shots. I've got a shot of Kuma done already, but I'm not 100% happy so am going to see if I can capture something else during the week! I'm using my hubby's point and shoot at the moment and it's doing my head in
