Week 13... having fun with bubbles 13/52 by KumaAkita, on Flickr
-
Congrats!! Looking forward to seeing photos - Enjoy! Oh! And Happy Birthday
-
Yep, completely agreed. Mr KumaAkita go soooo bored with it, he kept trying to find a modern-day doppleganger for each painting. Apparently, to his mind, there was at least one Australian cricketer and a national radio host among the collection!

And again, more comment catch up: tlc: I adore the w10 of Lacy, she looks like she's got a permanent wind maching floofing her hair! Your w11 shot of her has the most mesmerising eyes. Week 12 - On the Sick List 12/52 by KumaAkita, on Flickr

Week 12: 12/52 by KumaAkita, on Flickr I've got a stinking headcold and have been on the couch covered in a blanket of tissues for the better part of this week. Kuma has been entertaining himself while i've been recuperating. He's gotten each and every one of his toys out of his toy box and spread them to the far reaches of this house. Periodically going and playing with them all. He's actually been such a good dog, given he's not had a walk since Monday morning. Love having a fluffy companion who licks your face if you snore whilst snoozing on the couch
-
Looks like they enjoyed themselves
-
Then Kuma must be some kinda weirdo... his last for ages. Probably 1-2 months. The bigger rawhide bone things can last for 6 or more months. He's not much of a chewer.
-
Bugger, bugger, bugger. The roulettes just flew overhead.... I rushed outside to snap a few shots. My camera wouldn't take a photo, it would focus but couldn't capture anything. I'm starting to fret there is something wrong with my new camera. Nope, some idiot left her SD card in the computer.

Akita is the American Akita, like my boy. Bigger and boofer. The Akita Inu is a Japanese Akita which looks a lot like a Shiba only bigger. They originated from the same breed, with the American being bred after ww2 when the Akita was all but wiped out in Japan. Wiki has a good explanation: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Akita_(dog) Can I ask why this shouldn't be viewed in a similar vein to Drug Testing at the Olympics? Might be a very narrow and naive view, but hear me out... At the Olympics there are tens of thousands of competitors, not all of them are tested. The medal winners are, as are a random selection of athletes in high profile sports (those where there have been proven cases of steroid abuse previously, i.e. athletics, etc). I read somewhere that over 10,500 competitors will be tested during the 2012 London Games, some of these would be repeat test of competitors. The drug testing in elite sports hasn't eliminated all doping, but it has decreased the occurrence, and those who are caught are being named and shamed. Am I being too naive with that thinking??

Coming back for comments! gazellehound: Ahhh the post bath shake, great shot! AnnieK: How adorable is Phoebe in her little sunhat?? Good to see she's gotten the slip slop slap message. The photo with her bone is great, I really like the POV. ktig: Poor Paddington waiting desperately. Just such an adorable face. And yes, "summer" has been pretty ordinary! Snook: sorry, I'm no good with a title! But it's a great shot of Justice, he looks like a superhero! Your w9 photo is great too, I love the location - quite architectural. MnDM: Monet looks most comfortable there. I adore that Diva cuddles Juddy, just so sweet. What's caught Benson's attention?? Must be something good! Juddy's solo portrait is cute, if a tad mischievious. I love your week 9 photos. Your pack seems like the best of friends ;) MrRedDog: Really beautiful colours in the dog's fur. Hope they made good friends ;) Kuma agrees with Bella, it would be awesome if the rain let up for a while. GregW: A regal shot of Zoe having a rest. Nice nose! :) Jack and Dash's Mum: Glad you got my message, I'm happy to see your photos in their full glory! Dash is adorable post-bath. The two of them in the back of the car is cute and them and  them ganging up on Bruno... they also look like they enjoyed the trip to the beach!! TLC: Great shot of Lacy! She looks like she's ready for adventure. DSO: I love your Bailey and Jess Shots. Sooo cute! ok, think that's everyone... sorry if I missed anything

Congrats to your daughter, her photo is really nice - must get her talent from her mum :)

That so needs to be filmed... I foresee Australia's Funniest Home Video's in that dog's future :) Oh, and you should get Panto some Mr Whippy. She'll love it :D

I resorted to my iPhone for my week 9 shot... in my defence, Kuma was intently watching TV and it was a too good an opportunity to miss and it was all I had in my reach!! 09/52 by KumaAkita, on Flickr I'll come back and comment soon...

How To Get This Crispness And Colour In A Photo?
KumaAkita replied to pesh's topic in Photos, Photos, Photos
use photoshop or similar editing software. -
I have the 50mm 1.8G lens - it's the newer version of the 1.8D and it comes with autofocus. I bought mine here. It's a fab little lens and is hardly off my my camera.

I ordered mine through DigitalRev - their courier company sends you an email and a tracking number.
