  6. tried mine on the Fish and potato and they did ok, but there was twice the amount of poo and it smelt, was soft too. so back to canidae we go.
  7. Hi when I got my last dog, on top of the price for baby I had $2000 sitting in an account for him and just keep adding to it weekly And this money is just for the vets, it goes up and down all the time from up to $5000 down to $300. food and everything else is separate.
  8. they are not called white, they are cream!!
  9. totally agree, I have been around both retrieveing (working line) dogs and my daughter had a service dog, no way would a true working dog be able to stay calm for as long as needed in an asisstance dog as Kirty said they are apples and oranges
  10. how is this not against the law. it bloody well should be!
  11. And most of which requires considerable training and proofing. Most gundogs I know, if left alone up to 10 hours a day as youngsters, will make what a Jap Spitz can do to a backyard look lke gardening. lol was thinking the same thing!!!
  12. thanks for all the info it is very helpful the breeder is in a different state and not very interested I will persevere with the brushing, sectioning the hair sounds like a good idea (should have thought of that) lol she chewed up the pin bush, but I have been useing a slicker bush and comb this will be our first winter with her, lol wet feet and ears every morning thanks again for the help, I love the look of her coat and want to do the best for her
  13. thank you very much for the replys I was thinking of thining but was unsure, now I'll give it a go just did not want to wreck her coat, love our walking mop :-)
  14. I have 2 goldens and one will eat what ever is put in his plate the other is fussy, but the little cocker would eat until she burst :-)
  15. Hi just wondering how people keep there cockers is good coat condition I feel terrible, did not get to brush our girl for 2 days (was not well) and she had 2 matts one under her arm and the other along her tummy, she has a very thick coat do people thin the hair under there arms finaly worked out that lifting up her paw and brushing under her arm is not enough I have to lay her on her back to get under her properly any hints or knowledge to do with a cocker coat care would be greatly appreciated
  16. I'm not sure if it is the same system, but my F&P Aquasmart does not have an agitator, (supposed to be a top loader that works the same as a front loader, less water usage etc), and the lint system is useless. I have had 2 F&P top loaders before and they were great, but the Aquasmart has been a very dissapointing purchase. Bugger!
  17. ok have been to see the Samsung 10kg top loader lovely and big, does not have an agitator up the middle the lint system is that there is an outer bowl around the washing bowl and the lint is suppose to go out onto the outer bowl does anyone else have this sort of system, does it work well? sorry I'm probly being painful but its a big investment to me :-)
  18. thanks for your responses I have been looking at the 10kg Top Load Fisher & Paykel Washing Machine WA1068G1 and Samsung 10KG Top Loader White WA5471ABW anyone know of these or how good or bad they are?
  19. I'm sure this has been asked before, but I could not find it. I need a new washing machine and am wondering what other dog people have and are they happy with there machine? I would like my next one to handle the dog hair a bit better, as in getting it off the clothes and I'm thinking that I'll go back to a top loader Hope everyone had a nice Easter weekend :-) this is a photo of my boy after his busy Easter weekend :-)
  20. Thanks Rebanne. I had thought of refunding the purchase price as a way to help with treatment. What did have me thinking though was that if this treatment wasn't successful I may be expected to continue to pay for any further requirements done the track. So I am deliberating between what may an ethical decision or a foolish one. I appreciate your thoughts. if you have offered to take the dog back and they said no, then they are responsible for there baby BUT I think it is nice of you to offer the puppy price back to help with the cost of things, anything after that is up to them
  21. My 2 goldens have been on the diet for just over a week now and so far so good they LOVE it both dogs have less eye dischage, there skin is less pinkish and one in particular his coat is alot healthier
