You can try contacting the Cavalier King Charles Club of NSW, they may be able to help as they do have a rescue section and quite possibly a waiting list -
Just a reminder about the walk for anyone in Melbourne looking for something to do on Sunday :)

Billy had a ball the last time he went but unfortunately my partner is working next Monday so we can't make it. Hope you all have a great time.

Rescue groups – community fostercare networks, breed specific groups and caring individuals – have become a huge part of animal welfare over the last few years. They are compassionate, they care, they do the hard yards to save what dogs and cats they can, mostly working with volunteers. Rescue groups are showing that it can be done differently. High kill rates are not the only answer. To celebrate these changes Victorian Dog Rescue are having a community walk on Sunday 16 March 2014. Everyone is welcome - including the dogs! Bring a picnic lunch or buy a sausage and a drink!! Information sheets and merchandise will also be available. Note that if you book your tickets online before the 3rd of March a discounted entry fee applies. Please click on the link to see the flyer for further information. Thank you Troy for letting me post this. Lead_The_Way.pdf

My Tibbie boy hates water as well, so no helpful ideas from me. Although I do like the bowl within bowl idea.

Do you have a link? I checked the website and fb but couldn't see one. The only link I found led me to DOL and an error.

For a breed that isn't very common they sure are are popping up more than I would have thought. I hope all of them find wonderful homes. ETA. for the Happy Gotcha Birthday wishes

He loves the camera Mita, having been trying to take photos while he is doing something but as soon as he sees the camera he poses. I think Billy was a male model in a previous life :D When I take him for a walk we get 200 metres from home and he plants his butt on the ground, looks at me as if to say, "nup no going home yet". Confused me at first but I've out smarted him by taking him a different way home  Billy will be a challenge to train but I am more stubborn than he is, obedience school here we come. No doubt he will embarrass and frustrate me. Luckily I have my secret weapon, roast chicken :D Well cats haven't moved out of home yet and Billy is wary of getting too close to them, he gets a warning growl and he backs off. Sometimes he pushes the limits but he is generally a gentleman when it comes to the cats. Billy can be very stubborn so I guess he isn't perfect but the most important thing is that he is perfect for us and we love him for who he is and I'm pretty sure he likes us as well. Thank you everyone for your kind thoughts, and another very big to RuralPug and Pam for all your help

Unfortunately the photos don't show his beautiful nature and temperament. He justs loves meeting people and wants to say hello to everyone, young, old, wheelchair bound he doesn't care.

YAY it's official my partner and I have adopted Billy Billy is a dream dog to own, we cannot fathom why his previous owners did not want to keep him. He has settled in very well and has been excellent with our cats. The cats are not terribly impressed but his manners are wonderful and they are very slowly getting used to having him around. He still tries to play with them but he has never shown any sign of wanting to hurt them so we are very confident they will eventually accept he is here to stay. Billy is already a very much loved part of our family and I cannot imagine our life without him even though he can be very stubborn. I joined this site nearly 4 years ago looking for a dog that was perfect for us, well we have finally found him and it was well worth the wait. Here are some photos of the newest member of our family His first day Billy doing his happy dance when he knows we have roast chicken Playing with his lion He has so much fur, he weighs 5 kg and I'm sure 4kg is fur Watching my OH Enough with the photos mum  A huge to RuralPug for saving this lovely dog and for looking after him an extra couple of weeks while I recovered from pneumonia and for all the help and support she has given me during the trial period. And also I must say to Mita for all her support and advice and to TheSpottedDevil for her help.

There are some nasty infections going around at the moment, hope you get well soon MUP

Well, my partner and I have been discussing Billy and he has been nagging me to get some further information with the view of adopting him. So I have sent Pam an email and we will take it from there :D
