  1. Gorgeous cats you have there RuralPug, at least it is big enough for both of them Glad they like the bed Just happy that it is getting some use instead of just sitting here gathering dust or dog hair or cat hair
  2. Rural Pug I have one of these that we got for Billy but he won't go anywhere near it. It has been opened but never used. I'll post it to you on Thursday. We also got him a really big memory foam bed but he doesn't like that one very much either, he prefers his big $10 K-mart cushion bed.
  3. Have a look here under the pet food section.
  4. Woo hoo!! Thanks Dogmad for letting us know Enjoy your new home gorgeous girl. Yay for Polly, thanks for the update Dogmad
  5. This is Polly, she is listed as a 14 yr old female Maltese. Polly is at SADS so she is safe but it would be nice if she could find the perfect retirement home. http://saveadog.org.au/animals-adoptions/601/small-dogs/688/
  6. Certainly hope that Dave did find his forever home. As for Oscar I'd adopt him in a heartbeat, he would have to be better at obedience than our 2 yr old tibbie who has been given the title of class clown But I'm not allowed to get another dog till we move to a bigger place.
  7. Oh I know I'm sorry DDD Although this thread probably isn't very successful at helping spread the word, I just love the oldies so much this is the only way I can feel like I'm helping in some way I guess HazyWal, this thread has been a great idea of yours It may help a senior find their retirement home and if it does then it is well worth it.
  8. All these gorgeous seniors are breaking my heart, really hope they can find their forever retirement home. Flossie is a cute little elderly lady. I have 2 seniors today as I couldn't make up my mind which one to post. The first one is Oscar a seven year old Border Collie with a lovely smile. He is currently at the RSPCA in Bendigo and is available for no fee. https://www.petrescue.com.au/listings/354353 This is David a Staghound x who is nearly 9 years old. David is also at the RSPCA in Bendigo and is available for no fee. https://www.petrescue.com.au/listings/351244
  9. Wow thank you for the welcome back and support :) We are still trying to get it back to "normal" but having some teething problems at the moment. The volunteers that were previously taking the photos and doing the assessments are no longer associated with the pound and Mildura Council have updated their Website and downloading the photos from there is not possible anymore. Hopefully the Council will fix that glitch soon. Even though there was a falling out between the volunteers and myself, I'll be the first to admit they were dedicated and did do good work at the pound. I do miss their photos, assessments and their friendship and hold no grudges (way too old for that  ) towards them. Anyway I'm back doing the thread and as such contributing a small part in helping the dogs and cats find rescue or their forever homes.
  10. Grace and Nessy are gorgeous hope they find their perfect forever homes. The 12 year old boy below that I posted on the first page has now made it to rescue. He is settling and adjusting very well and could end up being a foster failure

  12. I asked SODR about Hunter the "Wheaten Terrier". He came from a pound in NSW and that is what the pound said his breed was.
  13. That's fatastic news for Tia and the cat Dogmad
  14. Fantastic idea HazyWal, hopefully the exposure will help some of the oldies find forever homes to live out their retirement
  15. This is Hermoine, she is a 12 year old JRT currently in GAWS. Link to her profile at GAWS http://gaws.org.au/lionheart/adopt/dogs/
  16. This 12 year old boy needs urgent rescue or adoption. His elderly owner has passed away and the family are unable to keep him, he is fretting for his owner He is desexed and chipped, unsure about vaccinations. This boy has been well looked after and is located in Ballarat Vic. If anyone can help with either rescue or adoption please contact Mel on 0413654662
  17. Aww shucks DDD, thank you for your praise but all I did was give you another alternative and I'm happy it helped. You deserve the accolades for not giving up on Danny (while making a huge contribution to your vet's retirement :D )
  18. Sorry to hear that Danny doesn't like the green tripe anymore, hope he keeps eating the dehyrated chicken treats at least.
  19. Fantastic photo Only a tiny bit, Boronia. Unfortunately, he threw up when we came back from our walk (which was very very slow and short), so I didn't really expect him to eat anything. But as I was feeding the others, I put his bowl down. He didn't do his usual carry on as though it was poison and how could I be so cruel. A small improvement, but they all tot up. They are all settled down to sleep now Shame that he didn't keep breakfast down. Any chance the hot weather may have contributed to it?
  20. Merlin Video not working for me in NSW. Try this one, you will have to scroll down a bit My link
  21. Just happy I could help, but kicking myself that I didn't send you more
  22. This is the place My link They are lovely people and will go out of their way to help if they can. I have been recommending them to pretty much every dog owner I know or meet.
