What's The Most Disgusting Thing Your Dog Has Done?
dezzyno.1 replied to Dame Aussie's topic in General Dog Discussion
As I have only had Dezzy for about 9 months now....the worst thing he has done is I took him for a run out to our horse.....whilst we were walking up the lane way the horse had a pee....Dezzy bolted after she had finished weeing and rolled straight in it....he then proceeded to find a fresh poo and rolled in that.....when he got up instead of being a black and white dog he was a black and green dog we then had to go to school to pick up the kids and guess what....no kids wanted to go near Dezzy that day to say hello as soon as we were home he was in the bath but he thought he was so good for rolling in wee and poo but trust me he didn't smell that good :D -
the poor family....i hope they get the answers they need Very sad for the family

Oh poor fella...hope he makes a fast recovery The look on his face to me says that he just wants big cuddles to make it all better

My Children Doing Obedience
dezzyno.1 replied to dezzyno.1's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
thanks everyone....the kids have a ball.....unfortunately whilst they are doing lessons so am I which makes it very hard to get video footage....I have tried to get my husband to take video footage but he wont be in to coming to OB....he just likes to give simple commands to Dezzy at home and thinks that he is quite good because Dezzy does what he tells him to do......will try and get some footage but don't know how at this stage...may have to wait until the in-laws come down from Sydney which could be months I am glad Vickie that ur daughter loves doing agility....I think it is a good thing for kids....I hope to get them into something like that but really we need another dog....I am trying to get myself ready to trial so is hard when u have one dog for a family...but the kids love the OB and I hope they continue as it is IMO a good thing for children to learn at least basic OB commands and also they teach them different things like not leaving dogs in cars, how to approach a dog etc -
My daughter Tamika who is 10 and my son Jordan who is 9 and has disabilities are doing children's classes at OB....Tamika is so close to be put up to Group 2 and just needs to work on her foot work which I will be helping her with during the week and Jordan is doing very well but has a few problems because of his speech the dog cannot understand him but I will help him also with his foot work and hand signals.....we are very privileged in that their instructors bring a dog each to OB each week for them to be able to train.....I can't thank them enough for lending their beautiful dogs to my children Dezzy and I did a perfect offlead recall and a perfect change of position today which I am wrapped about....I was also told that a few more lessons and we would be ready to trial for CCD which I am so excited about I am so proud of my kids and their willingness to learn and also to be able to do these lessons with dogs that they do not know....huge WELL DONE to them both...at OB they have a large class of kids doing OB which is great to see

Hope Hannah makes a full recovery and feeling better soon...nothing worse than not knowing what is wrong

Cesar Millan's Dog "daddy" Passed Away
dezzyno.1 replied to fainty_girl's topic in General Dog Discussion
R.I.P. Daddy....my sympathies go out to Cesar MIllan, family and friends.....not only a true ambassador for the breed but for all dog breeds...he will be sadly missed by all ;) -
I cannot believe that someone would do something like that to any animal....they defnitely need the same thing done t them and see how it feels
-
rofl....that is just so cute and very funny.....my kids will like that one when i show it to them
-
Thanks TerraNik and Tiggy for your congrats....yes Dezzy is a true ambassador for the bull breeds....he has never bitten another dog....my kids aged 9 and 10 always jump on him and not once has he even growled at them...if an aggressive dog runs towards him he lays down....everyone at OB love him and always come up and say hello to him and give him a big cuddle and pat....these dogs if in the right hands are a lovable dog....my son has seizures in his sleep and Dezzy alerts me to them, he even sleeps on one of the kids beds at night...he barks at his door and when I let him in he licks his face to make sure he is okay and of course he is so good at OB(I just have to learn)...lol...I am so proud of Dezzy and we all love having him as a family dog and I trust him 100% with the kids and any other dogs

Today we had our first lesson in Group 3.....we did an offlead recall....learnt how to do a finish recall and did some offlead healing....Dezzy behaved himself and did everything I asked him to do.....is a big jump from doing only half an hour in Group 2 and then up to Group 3...I am so excited and looking forward to doing more training with Dezzy and eventually trialling him for CCD and then continuing the other titles as well:thumbsup:

I cannot believe how stupid some people really are.....obviously the poor guy was just interested in knowing what sort of dog it was.....this is really good for the poor old pitbulls....no wonder they are attacking people when they are being encouraged at such an early age
-
I cannot understand why people allow their dogs to roam free no matter what breed or size they are....I think some people need to take a good look at themselves....we have a jack russell wander around here and when he goes past the kids (in their own front yard) he tries to bite them....he has collars and tags on so obviously is someones pet...i hope your friend and his dogs a speedy recovery
-
What a brave dog Zena is....protecting his family and showing how loyal our furry friends can be
-
I feel very sorry for the lady but obviously they were not "pitbulls" as the breed of the dogs were not mentioned....all that was said was that an investigation was being held to determine the dogs breed....I hope they work it out soon
-
thanks for the congratulations......and yes brididstarr it will be very exciting being off lead....I am sure Dezzy will be fine but I am a bit nervous and a bit excited.....Dezzy has a habit of visiting other dogs in the group so hopefully he will just stay beside me...lol

We got home from OB tonight very very happy....we were put into Group 2 at training just before xmas....we trained with group 1, 2, 3, & 4 dogs for two weeks and we have now been put up into Group 3....we only spent half an hour in Group 2......we are so excited.....we now get to do off lead training which will be an experience in itself.....
