I don't understand how Ollie has put on weight. He has 1 scoop of Iiams weight management kibble a day, 1 bone a week and that's it other than water. I walk him for half an hour nearly every day (which is becoming a strain on him because of his weight gain). Why has he put on weight? It doesn't make sense ;) Miley eats the exact same amount and is a perfect weight.

Found - 3 X Cavalier King Charles Spaniels

The owners may want to just send them to live with Aunty Puggerup Little devils must drive them nuts escaping all of the time. I hope they find a solution before it ends in disaster. -
Great news about Daphne A vet once told me that most dogs are ok if they get to the milk chocolate but it's the dark chocolate that tends to be most problematic.

Finding It Hard To Find The "one"

Bilbo Baggin's PM'd me also, I hope she was as helpful to you as she was for me. Cavaliers are such a wonderful breed for families with kids. I think they will grow up together and be besties and the kids will learn from having a dog at a young age, to respect all animals. I hope you get your furbaby. -

hey what's wrong with cotton pickle yokels?..that's hilarious -
My inlaws little furbaby died a few months ago after 12 years of pure joy. She was born with a hole in her heart which was repaired by a student Vet and my inlaws (even though they were looking at pure breeds) fell in love with the Cavalier cross Maltese and brought her home at 12 weeks old. She spent her life on medications for the murmur but was fairly active and very spoiled and lived 4 years longer than predicted. They are now feeling ready to get another furbaby but they don't want a puppy. They want a pure bred CKC adult female and they are in Vic. If any of you are looking to rehome a dog fitting this description or know of someone, please let me know. They are going to Bali for 3 weeks next week and I am hoping to have found them a beautiful dog for when they return as a gift for MIL's birthday. She knows I am trying to get her one and is excited

Yes I am well aware of the rules now thanks Gareth, at the time I didn't realise I would get warning for using the word Moron as I have seen far worse being used and not removed in the past 2 years. I am now aware that when someone insults me, that I should press report and bite my tongue (or hold my fingers). -

I used the report function once when I was accused of being into bestiality I then got reported and got a warning for retaliating and calling her a moron..which really, who could blame me and what I said to her wasn't even 1/4 as offensive as what she said to me. I actually read this persons posts now and I enjoy them, so maybe she was just having a bad day, or she just is anti-pugger -
I can always sense when mine are thirsty..especially Ollie.. I just get a vibe off him.

See that is constructive respectable criticism and NOT what Brooke started this thread about.

I wouldn't want people to be turned off getting their dangerous dogs PTS if they kind find the cash (or don't want to part with it). The Vet could have at least billed him. The little girl wouldn't be in hospital right now if he did his job.
-
I read it the same way Diva. They probably wouldn't have charged a fee if they considered him dangerous. So if a dog attacks it's not dangerous unless he's on a dangerous breed list so warped.
-
They tried to have the dog PTS but because the vet didn't consider the dog dangerous, he wouldn't do it.
-
I know!!! That's just a bit over the top. I guess people get caught up in the moment of attack and really step over the line of common decency.

They wouldn't let me forget even if I tried *sigh* they even know what time dinner is like they can read the clock.

exactly I was scared off once, then banned for being a troll once and then reinstated for proving I wasn't a troll I am guessing a couple of longer term members are suspicious of new comers and can go in as sleuths looking to find evidence of "something" so they can fire their guns. It seems if they can't find anything, they make something up To the OP- You have to build up the trust just like anywhere. There are many many helpful, compassionate members of DOL also, so even when you are feeling a bit attacked and bullied, press that report button and remember that just because a few are giving you a hard time, it doesn't mean the entire forum is against you. I have reported one post since being here and it was removed immediately. I hope you are feeling better soon. It's not nice have your motives and integrity tested or insulted.
