Another DOL member has gone in there to check it out and it's still not good..fleas, worms, dirty water and puppies not looking too great either

Darkrai - no Bindii, you know which one it is everyone else, stop guessing, Troy doesn't want naming and shaming
-
I phoned them and they couldn't give me any information until the inspectors write a report and that won't be until next week.
-
Exactly.

No apparently, (this is what I heard the staff telling a customer) they aren't ready to go yet they have to be quarantined apparently. The kittens with fleas had just been treated, which wasn't good enough IMO, they were ill from the fleas, it was obvious, and they should have been having vet care not put back, fleas and all in to the glass box for customers. The other kittens she said needed a bath : anyone that knows cats, knows that kittens don't get baths unless they are taken from their mothers too young. Mother cats cleans their young until they are old enough to clean themselves. I will PM Troy about naming and shaming.

There is only one pet shop in the suburb, so if I say, then I would basically be saying which pet shop it is. Could a moderator confirm if it is ok for me to post which pet shop it is please?
-
I remember seeing all sorts of live stock at markets when I was a kid. The pet shop isn't in Springvale for the person who asked.
-
Yep I'll go by tomorrow and have a look.. as long as they don't kick me out
-
I was pretty loud with voicing my disgust in the situation.
-
They were Ragdolls in one glass box covered in fleas that it looked like they were selling fleas and some cats somehow snuck in. One of the kittens was just laying there lifeless with fleas crawling all over her face In another glass box was a litter of short haired domestics (not sure if they were given an exotic label) and the kittens were so young they couldn't clean themselves and had dags and poo all over them and matted fur.. and they were SHORT haired and still matted around the bum and belly

not sure.. I would have to read through the rules again and see what it says about outing business's.

I have been quoted a reference number at the RSPCA to find out what happens, so if I am not satisfied I will do just that.
-
I doubt they would be able to with how busy they were with customers.. they sell reptiles etc too.. the place was crazy. I worry that they won't get their today and the kittens will be dead by the morning.
-
They had puppies there too, and the place was packed full of customers, but once I saw the condition of the kittens (one in particular looked dead) I wanted to get the kids out as fast as possible, so I have no idea of the condition on the over priced cross bred dogs.
-
I went for a walk with the kids and they begged me to let them go into the large pet shop we were walking past. I went in and the condition of the kittens was outrageous. I told them how disgusting they are and that they should be ashamed of themselves. As soon as I got home I phoned the RSPCA and reported them. They said because one was almost dead, that they were going to try to go there right away to check the situation out before they close at 5:30 I'm furious

I wonder if a run away child did this... It seems like it was a child who probably thought the dogs were safe in there.
