  1. The dog needs to go Kilsyth. I'll phone Jan now
  2. Thanks rural pug. I'll contact the pound and council and see if it's doable
  3. There's a CKC at the pound in Baccus Marsh which I saw on pet rescue. He's too far away for me to pick up, but I would love to give him a home, whether it be to foster him or keep him. I'm applying for a permit to have more then 2 dogs tomorrow. What are my chances of someone picking him up for me?
  4. Oh those teacup husky's are divine. I'll take a dozen please. Do they cope alright in Australian summer? I go away at Christmas for a couple o weeks, so the neighbours will have to chuck some food over the fence every few days. There's no shelter so they have to be able to cope with the weather. If not, do you do a hairless teacup Husky? I can rub some zinc of them before I go away. Oh do you take paypal?
  5. I gave the in laws a surprise gift (CKC) and figured if they turn her down I'd keep her LOL Unless you are willing to re-home the pup or keep it if they say no, then I wouldn't suggest it. Turns out my in laws kept the puppy and they always say she is the best thing that ever happened to them
  6. I agree and I felt sorry for him until I read he stabbed his mate in the heart. The guy is just a violent twat.
  7. Oh yeh Banskia looks like the dogs are in great conditions http://www.abc.net.au/rn/backgroundbriefin...rowofcages2.htm
  8. threads like these make me embarrassed to post.
  9. Interesting that the person writing the article said it was a bulldog in the first sentence and then a bull mastiff in the next.
  10. I'd like to go to the rally but it's my sons birthday that day.
  11. Yep years ago before I knew better, I got a CKCS poodle mix from ACA and he had terrible skin issues from the first week we got him. He was treated for mange and it didn't help. He was first given sheep drench (?) He lived on antihistamine and steroids and wore a bucket over his head most of his life. He was allergic to fleas also, but also to flea treatment the poor thing was in living hell. He ended up getting stolen by a crazy neighbour...that's a different thread though. My kids still cry over him over 3 years later. They mainly worry that his skin isn't being cared for properly. I doubt the crazy $%& takes him to the vet
  12. My neighbour was looking to get a CKC a couple of weeks ago and saw one at Pets Paradise for $950. I told her about puppy mills etc and why it isn't good to go to a pet shop. I talked her out of getting the pup and tried to get her one from Miley's breeder. She wouldn't wait the 3 days and she said she wanted to use her credit card, which obviously a breeder wouldn't take. So what does she do!?!? She goes to ACA breeders and gets a cavalier x poodle Oh but they use breeders, she says. I even linked her to an article with a raid on a ACA puppy farm the night before she got the puppy, but she still went ahead and got her. They even gave her the wrong dog the numbskulls. She's had diarrhea since they got her.
  13. Hilarious :D the bulldog doesn't looked phased at all.
  14. I have a vet who never turns me away because I always come through with the cash. He has done a few emergency procedures for me when I haven't had the cash right away
  15. I wouldn't take the pup either as it could go either way...get worse or go away. What breed is it?
  16. You said so yourself that this is a spur of the moment thing, sleep on it. Best of asking your shire exactly what the requirements are too. (is this helping? ;)) Much better
  17. Cause I posted the other one in off topic by mistake I think 3 dogs are the limit in this shire.
