  1. Thank you for being so caring, we need more people like you
  2. My vet broke my trust of him on my girls last day. He seemed distracted and then said he couldn't talk long as he had to go and vaccinate a puppy. I felt, and still feel, guilty because I asked specifically for him because our girl seemed to like him. That's the condensed version anyhow. When we got home there was a reminder for a cartrophen injection. A few days later we did get a printed card signed by all of the staff. It went in the bin because only one of the staff members showed us any compassion, despite on the day there being 2 vets and 2 vet nurses there that we had known for a long time. The third vet nurse, who was lovely, we had never met before. I will always appreciate her kindness, but cant return to the clinic. We now go to another clinic, that is associated with the other one but has different staff and they are all lovely.
  3. Aww look at Chings bucket! Hope she has a good night sleep!

  5. Oh wow, what a lucky dog! Well done to you and your husband Was there anyone home at the time?
  6. lovely photos! RIP little joey
  7. Oh what a sad story. May Claude RIP, and I am sure he is helping you with all of your rescue doggies.
  8. We have flown with virgin and qantas too. I also preferred the virgin staff. We hired crates through dog tainers. Most people prefer not to sedate their dogs, but our vet recommended we give our staffy x (RIP) a mild sedative prior to flying because of how worked up she became. Our lab was fine though. Just keep in mind what the weather will be like when you are flying, because of the heat. They have to be there earlier than the flight and are in their crates.

  11. I am disappointed I could not make it, I had to work. The photos are fabulous, looks like the dogs all had a great time. Wow, Earl is big! I really want to meet Pele! And of course all of the other gorgeous doggies.
  12. What could be in the ceiling?? I might just have a suspicious mind but the OP said that when she came back (see post 33) the back door was then locked again. I would be worried they had come back and were hiding in the house, may be the ceiling???
  13. Your hard work is finally paying off big time!!
  14. what a scary thing to happen. I am glad your dogs and yourself are safe. Don't mean to scare you, but did the police check in the ceiling?
  15. Aww what a cute little poppet! I love her big belly in her 'standing' photo!
  16. Thanks for the reply sas. I was looking at the human version today and noticed some extra minerals etc compared with the cosequin (sp) I had been using. I was wondering if these were harmful or beneficial to dogs, the shop keeper was unsure.
  17. Has anyone used a human glucosamine and chondroitin powder for their dogs?
