I cried everyday for months, even now (coming up to 2 years) I get teary thinking about my girl. I have her ashes in my bedroom with one of my favourite photos of her. I talk to her sometimes. I also planted a beautiful rose called 'best friend' in our garden which makes me think of her whenever I see and smell the flowers. It is one of the hardest things I have ever done. I does get a little easier with time though. I am sorry you are going through this, but it means you are a caring person. ;)

Anyone Want A Free Home Stay In Sydney?
harley replied to MadWoofter's topic in General Dog Discussion
This breaks my heart - you have helped so many other people and now I really hope that someone can come and stay with you for a little while to give you a bit of a hand now you need it. If you can think of anything we can do to help please please say so. Julie My thoughts exactly! I hope you find someone who can help you out! And I hope your leg heals well -
Mya sure is beautiful! It was pretty amazing to watch her story unfold here on DOL, and to see such a happy ending is wonderful!

The greyhound just did a mega leap and landed on my bed, somehow just missing my head! She has been put in her crate and is currently settled

My old dog Rhoda (RIP) hated them with a passion. I thought I was finished with the fretting. However my greyhound is having a little sook and laying next to me. She is no where near as bad as Rhoda was, but it certainly makes me think of my old girl My lab is asleep in my daughters room, they don't tend to bother him very much thank goodness. Oops, spoke too soon, now he is next to me also :D I have heard a couple of dogs barking, but not much yet. Maybe more soon, poor things

Illegal For Dogs To Wee On Nature Strip Now?
harley replied to ChocoLabs Dad's topic in General Dog Discussion
I have never seen the council mow a naturestrip outside a home. There was a guy in the street next to me, years ago, who kept his home and yard immaculate (sp?) but because of an arguement with the council, he never touched the nature strip. He got warning notices etc to clean it up. I'm not sure who gave in, in the end, but eventually the nature strip was mowed. It went on for months and months. :D hmmm....maybe it was an accidental mow i saw...it was the only time i saw it.. Council mow ours and water the tree but only sometimes! Therefore, we mow it in between. -
