Agility Equipment Wanted
Staff'n'Toller replied to Dragon Whisperer's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
I'm pretty sure mine came from there....quite a few years ago I can't remember! LOL It has been out in the rain, spent about 15mths at a club being used once a week and it's still in good nick. I just have a small amount of wire sticking out of one end now, but should be fine once it's snipped off. -
Agility Equipment Wanted

Did anyone PM you? Jumps are easy peasy to make, the guys at bunnings can cut your pvc into required lengths and essentially you just need to put caps on and connectors. If you want to make it downright simple I would suggest buying the 4 way or 5 way connectors and jump cups or jump cup strips from cleanrun.com store. I can give you length measurements if you like. The best price for a competition tunnel right now is from Plasticoat ->Mine ventilation ducting ->Mineflex. I have bought these then just added my own pvc poles and end caps. Although there seems to be a few guys around making the 2x2 weave pole bases if that's what you prefer. Mel. -
There's something about those Berwick grounds.....it's the only place I get good stays as well.

The Best Dry Food For A Senior
Staff'n'Toller replied to pipergirl_84's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I feed RC Labrador to my Retriever and he is very lean. It's very well priced considering the ingredients IMO. The dogs love it. -
That's it!!! The fist signs!!! They are turning feral!!

Dog Shaking Head Regularly

Did your Vet do an ear smear? (Sample onto slide and stain it up to look at it under the microscope). -
You have Sherbrooke, they have lovely grounds and a nice clubhouse. I just got sick of off lead dogs running through from people walking their dogs. SHERBROOKE OBEDIENCE DOG CLUB Mr David Hutson (9802 6463) ............................................................ ..................Belgrave Lake Park (SAT.pm) There are a few of us here who go to Berwick Obedience I have been to both clubs but am at Berwick right now for Agility and have done a few of their obedience levels as well. I travel twice the amount of time to get to Berwick but I prefer it...have a look at both and see what you prefer. You have Knox, Croydon and ADT have training in The Basin, all fairly close to you as well.

Diet For Dogs With Liver Problem
Staff'n'Toller replied to skwo2's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Unfortunately the minimum pack is 9kg but it has a palatability guarantee. It will keep very well in a plastic airtight container. ETA: You could always phone Royal Canin Helpline and speak to a Veterinary consultant about what they're comparable food is (if any) Royal Canin is generally more popular as far as flavour goes. -
Anyone know whom I should contact to get some of those bags made to weight competition tunnels? Don't mind shipping them from interstate, just need them before mid-July is all. Thanks, Mel.

Time for a visit to the Vet to look down the ear canal. Could be the beginnings of an infection or a foreign body like a grass seed down the canal. -

Have you tried the dry formula L/d? -
Yes that was me, stepping on my dog, assuming he is telepathic and generally giving out wrong signals. Poor Geordie...his mummy will get it together eventually. Mel.

I noticed her at the end when you were doing individual work! :p I was also thinking "I'm so slack I need to order one of those!"

Diet For Dogs With Liver Problem
Staff'n'Toller replied to skwo2's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
You can probably replicate it once her liver enzymes come down- providing it is a one off thing and there are not other reasons such as tumour etc. Your Vet is the best person to provide you with the information you need though. -
I think from here: Agility Click.

Hiya, welcome to dol. This might be brief due to my killer headache tonight but have your Vet investigate sending the samples through Gribbles who use ?Vetpath? in WA, you will get hepatitis titres as well as distemper/parvo and it's cheaper than University of Colorado!! There is tonnes of info in this sub section if you do a search (top right) on vaccinations or titire testing etc. My boy had puppy vaccinations, then the 15mth vacc then a break for two years, and last year he had a C3 only which lasts for 3 years (Fort Dodge or Nobivac brand). He has been vacc'd only due to obedience/agility. If you google Jean Dodds you should find a wealth of info on limited vaccination schedule and she is one of the authority's on it at the moment. I tried to attach the WSAVA vaccination protocol recommended to Veterinarians but it's too big- that should be easy to find on the net- it's a pdf and I believe it may be being adopted soon by a major association here in Oz but at this stage it's hearsay. If you're not on the worldwide Toller list I can give you details on how to join that too. ;) Cheers, Mel.

I tried with a manners minder quite a while ago. Unfortunately it wasn't valuable enough i.e. my dog wasn't hugely driven to get there. I think it might be quite successful on dogs who are crazy about the manners minder though. Mel.

They look great LP!! So much environmental enrichment - they will be little geniuses.

Just a thought to add, Giardia is fairly common and it's not impossible that he could pick that up from the beach. I would worm him out now, and again in a fortnight with a Drontal from the Vets- has a Giardia claim- if he were my dog, just to be on the safe side. Take everyone's differing advice as you wish, I feed some raw, practice minimal Vaccinations but I worm monthly as well because the pre-patent period of most of the common worms (that is the time from beginning to adult) is approx 30 days...and my lot eat all sorts of yuk stuff.

Home Alone "hanging Ball" Toy Or Bungie Chook ?
Staff'n'Toller replied to mooki's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
Our bungee chook has been severed and had it's guts removed, because there must be food in that little rattly ball. -
Whole block of white chocolate here...stolen off the kitchen table from the shopping and discretely taken outside. Whole packet of Heartgard chews...they must be yummier than I thought, and a bbq chicken from my boss's car when Karla was on location at a film shoot.

Misty is like: I'm pretty darn cute, I'm not going to just anyone you know!!!

I'd be interested in grabbing a few fresh tails as well, if you can source them.
