Best thing to do is email the Vic Gundog Club in January next year and let them know.

Ah ok, does sound like she is getting bitten then. Possibly Advantix may help you as it repells mozzies and flies. I would actually experiment with placing a drip of it on the top of each paw.

Which Instructor Course
Staff'n'Toller replied to Prydenjoy's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
I searched for delta + ndtf which was probably different to what you were looking for. I didn't search for NSW instructor course, sorry about that. -
Actually that's what was missing. There were no show supplies or larger stalls outside because they have removed that walk-through shelter area. There were still a few along the walls opposite the breed stand area but none at the very end.

I think you need a repellant and/OR to cut the hair extremely short between the toes OR look at the possibility that it's actually a contact allergy to grass and the fact that you find ants is a coincidence.

As for the breed stands, the co-ordinator for the Gundog Club was unable to co-ordinate for this year unfortunately. As for the others I don't know, but it's bl**dy hard work (I have done one myself). You are watching your dog all day, trying to speak postively of the breed whilst also somewhat controlling the general publics interactions with your dog. The breed clubs need to be big enough that people can work in shifts and for a lot of clubs that is difficult. You also need the right type of dogs for the job. You also need people who are willing to travel and give up their time for nothing even if the weather's hot and many people don't live in the South East.

Thankyou for the headsup. -
I felt the same but didn't want to say anything in case it was just me! I was telling my best friend last night how much it has changed and I have attended lots of them, even the very first one at the old Exhibition Buildings. I would be surprised if it runs next year- don't get me wrong the volunteers all do a great job and it is very hard work being there all three days- but the trade stands each year just keep on dwindling. I was happy to grab some Aussiedog spare parts and to see that Studio Sebastian was back but we went back in to try to find Aussie Pet Health Treats and they were a no-show, listed on the info but MIA!

It used to be, but the security guards won't let anyone in who is not obviously showing, so unless you have dogs, trolley, gazebo and entry numbers you'll be sent around the front. :D It's about $6.00 to park and $15 to get in.

We find palatability on the whole a fair bit better with RC and the best way to buy the Renal is in the biggest size (could be 14kg??). I would get her going on the food (either) ASAP and go from there.

I loved my hilux when I had one, I still miss it.

The RC bin offer is happening now in Melbourne. It's for Veterinary Junior and Adult (Medium and Large Breeds) 10kg+ varieties.

I think there was a thread on cane toads here a while back. I think you may be able to secure your property using buried chicken wire if your main fences are secure and the toadies can't get in. If she manages to grab one, rinsing her mouth out (tongue, gums, roof of mouth etc.) with a hose and using a face washer to get out any goo is the best thing, then off to the Vets if she still seems sick. ETA: Get someone else to dispose of your toad population if you can't do it, they are an introduced species and you are supporting the population. Teach her to toilet using a cue word when she goes and you will have no problem transferring that to the lead.

Where Do You Get Your Clicker From?
Staff'n'Toller replied to Rainy's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
@ Aidan. I find it funny all the different preferences. I'm an iclick snob myself and it's either feast or famine here....like they are all over the place and falling off shelves or I can't find any. The box clickers are purely for decoration. Triple crown....bit scary...might need a tea towel for me, not the dog. -
Might not be for all dogs but the website looks great and good-on them for what they are providing!

Have you found it to work on male cats who previously had blockages or just females with blood in the urine etc?

Large Straining Dog (march Update)
Staff'n'Toller replied to spottychick's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
Well done!! That's the great thing about those harnesses, you can put them on the wrong way and still they (generally) work. ;) -
I have an X-trail but had different plans for it (false floor etc.) when I bought it. I think my false floor is 200mm off the main floor and I can slide in crates or folding camp chairs and those flat plastic click containers (the underbed ones) for dog equipment. I have a manufactured 200mm space in my cargo barrier so technically can carry extra long items with the back seats folded flat. I love that there is enough room for everything and the back seats stay pristine, although now I have holes drilled in the ?ceiling for the puppy bars gate I won't be selling it anytime soon!

Perhaps call your council and ask to speak to a Ranger about it. I have not heard the 'get the 3rd dog first' clause in my council but maybe I glazed over it. Essentially they are looking for adequate space, that the neighbours approve and you have strategies in place for the quick disposal of dog poo ensuring it does not cause any extra smell.
-
Because some people love animals and end up taking on too many that they can't adequately care for (food or health wise). When you have 3 or 4 or 5 dogs it exponentially increases the noise when they bark, particularly if they set each other off. Luckily mine seem to get quieter with each new one I get. I think fosterers are allowed to keep more animals under the agreement that it is a constant moving flow of animals out to homes etc. Rescuers can apply for a domestic animal business permit which allows them to keep and place animals in new homes and they must follow a code of ethics for animal welfare.

My Dogs Have Killed A Snake And Eaten The Head
Staff'n'Toller replied to Chocolate's topic in General Dog Discussion
I know regular day clinics here in Melbourne that require the same. The shock of the snake bite tends to make owners blurt out "yes do whatever you need to" and then they come to get their dog after 2 vials of anti-venom and it's "oh btw I have no spare money". It's unfortunate but the dishonest people who give false addresses and don't pay their bills have made it this way. -

I always try to do the motivational toy naming stuff but I can never make it sound the same... :D I have started saying "Cheata" after they break position- and that's only said once on the One Jump DVD!!!! Not sure how it rubbed off. Plus it's reinforcement for breaking- all bad!!! :D -
