If you want to try the Joint Guard in treat form I am happy to send you a few to try with him. One of mine is on the treat form (spoilt).

There were some (typically) blurry photos taken a while back by an aboriginal tracker up in WA, Google is being unhelpful with the site that has copies of them (from memory it was in Spanish) but it had a few different shots and excerpts from an interview with the tracker. It was quite an interesting story, despite how unlikely it is. Hmmm...let me know if you find a web version I'd be intrigued to read it. Obviously I should be asking some traditional land owners when I'm up north!! ETA: The size of foxes here in suburban Melbourne is getting quite scarey, I have seen one between small and medium dog size in Doncaster.

There are lots of reds around these days I'm sure you will get a sweetheart. Be sure to see the clear by parentage certificates or DNA test results (my breeder was interstate but scanned originals to email). Also make sure they are a house raised litter. Ask the breeder what experiences they provide for their pups from birth to eight weeks.

I read RS's post and just automatically went there. I have it bad obviously....but since I have already splurged on umbrella bags and someone tells me I need an ORBEE BALL now that's enough for this week! :D

Don't think for a minute that they're not around either! Don't know if they are in Tas but they are sure as hell on the mainland. Really? I can imagine there may be some black panthers around but hard to believe there's Tasi Tigers here with no photographic evidence. Mel.

Ness has tonnes of 2x2 youtube videos with Kenzie, also where you can see the reward line with only 2 poles. Definitely get a hold of the 2x2 dvd though as (even though I did have the dvd) I have to go back and build some more value for the first 2 poles now- we obviously didn't do enough at the beginning. -
Stickfast fleas tend to gather around ears but you would see them there. The regular flea gathers around the tail base and sometimes you can see them running across the belly but ear tips is not a normal place for them to be. Glad you figured it out. One of the labs here at work has had a funny moult this year and is shedding again for the 3rd or 4th time!

Action Dogs Victoria - Agility Club
Staff'n'Toller replied to megan_'s topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
My Toller had trouble with the enclosed space + amount of dogs, I think it was heavily distracting for him. The club is really nice but my back had a lot of trouble carrying the heavy equipment on the uneven sawdust every week. The great thing about Altona is EVERYTHING is on a trolley of some sort. I also had a dog that repeatedly rushed up to Geordie and the owner knew it had probs with other males and wouldn't desex it - that's the issue with being admitted without much of an obedience test. To be fair though Geordie seems to attract other entire males. If you got in though I wouldn't be passing up the opportunity! -

I just started watching Contacts 360 disc 2 and at the beginning she covers two good games for working on blind crosses when you don't want them. -
You might want to have some skin scrapings done, but my Stafford goes through that phase every year where the hair falls out and new hair grows in around the edges.

Vet Says To Leave Anal Glands Alone?
Staff'n'Toller replied to jaegertheweim's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
You know, I've never ever had anal glands problems with any of my dogs ever before and I've never ever caught a fishy whiff either (now I'm curious, but I bet I'm going to regret saying that ) I'm surprised to see and hear more and more about dogs which get their anal glands expressed manually - a lot of my friends who send their dogs to the groomers get it done there. Hope you don't have cream couches...might be in store for some anal gland karma!! -
I had a guy ring me last week who was thinking about a JRT with 3 kids under 5 years and one that was 7 months of age. I think he was being egged on to get one by friends and was looking for someone to tell him it would not be a good idea. Luckily he also had financial concerns so I explained the real cost of a dog. I told him essentially it was like 'having another baby' in the house and the stress of managing kids and dogs out in the yard could be a huge issue. I tend to always advise- sure get a dog- just wait until your kids are old enough to control their behaviour around the puppy as far as puppy mouthing and jumping is concerned. After a frank but friendly chat he thanked me profusely for the advice.

Supplements For A Dog Who Is Bleeding?
Staff'n'Toller replied to Lucy's mama's topic in General Dog Discussion
A piece of raw liver every day or there's a dog vitamin that you can buy that has iron in it. She might need a PCV soon though, just to check she's ok. -
Vet Says To Leave Anal Glands Alone?
Staff'n'Toller replied to jaegertheweim's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Thankyou for putting that reply so succinctly because the preceeding comment was making me quite grumpy. I'm pretty sure I can speak for EVERY Veterinarian that they would be glad never to have to deal with another anal gland abscess as long as they live. Also the insinuation that we enjoy letting animals get to the stage where they are in terrible pain for our own monetary gain is just plain nasty. -
Don't worry, Woolies isn't going belly-up here anytime soon. ;)
